And also .. Frist did make a statement to somebody, "I can't trust Reid anymore".

So if both Frist and Roberts learned a good lesson today - it'll be in our favor.

Rich Galen said that this grandstand play by the dems is actually going to cause a complete turnaround. I believe he was indicating that the public is going to be madder than ever at the dems and their childish actions. The public knows that those who win the elections get to make the decisions .. even if the dems don't know it.

One thing that really bothers me is Reid's total disrespect for the President .. he keeps calling Bush names and it's just juvenile. Then, Reid has the gall to be upset because Bush didn't pick one of the 2 names he suggested to the president for the SC.

It's the sound bite that sells ideas to a lot of people

It's only selling to the far left

It's turning off the moderate Dem voters

It's the long term that counts. The base is who pays attention and when electing members of the Senate and House, it's the base that votes in non Presidential elections. The Dems are losing those and with todays media becoming more and more Conservative, the leftist in the media are being exposed more and more for what they are.

Howard Fineman wrote about a Conservative Crackup, He needs to look at these moonbats on the left and think again about who is really cracking up

Don't allow the Democrat and their media to confuse you.
The Republicans didn't agree to anything. It's all just for show by the Democrats.

This is about the Senate Intelligence committee's "Phase II" investigation which is already under way, and is already due out soon. It rebukes all of the Democrats' rhetoric of the past 2 years. The Republicans "agreed to continue" an investigation that they were already in the middle of.

What the Democrats are trying to do here is create an illusion that Republicans are "coving up" something, and that Democrats are the ones forcing this report... a report that the Democrats already know is going to exonerate the White House.

Can you start to connect the dots here now?

This is all an attempt by the Democrats to make it look like they are fighting against some "cover-up" and it is setting the tone for when the "Phase II" report comes out. the Democrats are trying to set the narrative of the report coverage and headlines to be "Republican Cover-up?"

The GOP needs to get a lot smarter and start playing hardball on this. they consistently allow the Democrats to set the agenda and the tone, always having to play defense on issues that they ought to own.

I think that there were so many out-and-out lies in his speech...that I couldn't keep count...but one that really stood out, what when he got all agitated and upset because Bush FIRED Gen. Shinseki for suggesting 500,000 troops before we went into Iraq...

They have been lying all day .. even the lib talking heads have been doing it

I'm not talking about spinning a story .. they have been telling flat out bold face lies

No! It was about finishing the report - the repubs have been trying since May to get the dems to sit down and finish the report. The dems were waiting for the Rove indictment .. because they were going to use it and this report to impeach Bush. Now it's all ruined. No wonder they flipped out.

We want the report finished because it exonerates Bush.

You can actually sit there and tell me the barrage of negative media has not hurt the GOP and Bush?

Where the heck is that Henry Cisneros investigation report that Kerry and buddies keep refusing to be released? Come on, Harry Reid, where is it? Behind close doors?

And doesn't anyone remember how slowly Bushed moved to attack Iraq? It was so aggravating after a while. He made speech after speech. These people think that Bush just bombed Iraq in the middle of the night?

Democrats suck.

If you look at the poll number .. they went down on our side because of certain issues .. (which they will go up soon IMO)

But with the Dems .. their numbers have not gone up

These temper tantrums are hurting them .. Not us

I can hardly wait.

I got a mailout from Frist's office - and you can believe I'm going to answer it and give the repubs a ear full.

I've been sending mine in with no money for quite awhile. And .. I believe the border issue was turned around because a lot of us were talking about it needing to be fixed.

Do you mean some of these?

Heh.... seriously... this was a GREAT move by Frist and Republicans.

If today, Hitler wanted to have hearing on how 'inferior' J0000000z were, would it not be more beneficial to let him make an arse of himself?

in the short term? sure, but this is just a battle in a very long war against these liberals. Think about how far the Conservative movement has come since Goldwater of 1964, for that matter, just look how far we have come since 1994, The RATS have lost everything and they are about to lose the SCOTUS..... Harry S. Truman is the last reral leader the Democrats have had, Since then we have seen Kennedy, Johnson, Carter and Clinton..... 4 complete and utter failures.

History will not look at these times and consider them the Hay Days of the Liberal movement

"And also .. Frist did make a statement to somebody, "I can't trust Reid anymore".

===

If he ever did, it shows how hopelessly naive Frist is. He thinks the Senate is a gentelmen's club. But as you say, let's hope he learned a lesson, although I doubt it.

I hope it all backfires on the Dems, but we can't count on it. The Republicans need to stand up and go on the offensive. You are either on the offensive or defensive.

Is there a link to Roberts' speech?

I was so confused today when I heard this; I was positive I had just read last week that Roberts' report was coming out next week.

I wish to heck the Pubbies would take five, just five of the pre 2001 WMD, Saddam, Al Qaeda comments made by Dems then add the Joe Wilson question...

How is it that Mr. Wilson knew about fake documents several months before the CIA came into their possession?

Hammer, these points.
