WHY, oh, WHY did the Republicans agree to this?!!!!!!!

Didn't you hear Roberts speech??

This has been in the works since Feb and they were ready to move on in May .. but the Dems kept delaying

Roberts also said something about a report of some sorts was to be ready around the 14th and didn't see a reason for this stunt and the personal attacks on him by Reid

This will backfire on the Dems

Oh, gosh...maybe I should have read more of the posts before I posted that I agree with the dems that the Republicans "folded"....

but, alas, when you have two granddchildren fighting for your attention...it is rather hard to hear everything that is going on....sigh.

All I really got to hear was Reid's rant right before he called for the "closed session"...

I think that there were so many out-and-out lies in his speech...that I couldn't keep count...but one that really stood out, what when he got all agitated and upset because Bush FIRED Gen. Shinseki for suggesting 500,000 troops before we went into Iraq...

THAT is about the easiest lie it slap down...but, Harry still used it!!!

I told my husband that it is kind of a shame that there is a rule that Senators can say anything with impunity on the Senate floor....or all of them could be in big trouble.

It can't backfire too hard since the media is once again white washing the facts and running with the story balls to the wall. They are once again telling their lies of omission. It's the sound bite that sells ideas to a lot of people.

And also .. Frist did make a statement to somebody, "I can't trust Reid anymore".

So if both Frist and Roberts learned a good lesson today - it'll be in our favor.

Rich Galen said that this grandstand play by the dems is actually going to cause a complete turnaround. I believe he was indicating that the public is going to be madder than ever at the dems and their childish actions. The public knows that those who win the elections get to make the decisions .. even if the dems don't know it.

One thing that really bothers me is Reid's total disrespect for the President .. he keeps calling Bush names and it's just juvenile. Then, Reid has the gall to be upset because Bush didn't pick one of the 2 names he suggested to the president for the SC.

Is there a link to Roberts' speech?

I was so confused today when I heard this; I was positive I had just read last week that Roberts' report was coming out next week.

Will it? The [propaganda, media] perception is reality. Most TV viewers believe the 'Crats actually *did* something to punish the *criminal* *out of control* Pubbies. Frist & Co. don't have a clue about the real world.

Didn't Roberts also read a quote from the famous Rock-a-fellows e-mail?
