It's a pretty weak and transparent attempt to shift the blame, and even the card-carrying party members in the MSM will be able to see through it.

How was MD4Bush outed? Who revealed his name.

Why was Steffen trusing enough of this guy to reveal who he worked for?

I find this rather intriguing, although I don't know much about it to comment on the topic at hand.

There was a similar incident earlier this year in Erie, Pennsylvania, as everyone in the local government tried to find who was behind a site called "Erie Politicians Exposed" which was supposedly smearing information about the local candidates.

They eventually did find out who it was.
