Camilla Parker Bowles failed spectacularly in her attempt to wow Manhattan society with her sartorial splendor last night.

I find it interesting that the writer automatically assumes that the goal was to "wow Manhattan society." I really don't get the impression Camilla Parker Bowles cares all that much about fashion. She looks fine to me, no question she isn't what you'd call a fashion plate-- but I don't see the evidence that she is attempting to be one, either.
