"When I saw the campaign ad where Andrea Forrester said, 'Doug never let his family down and he won't let New Jersey down,' all I could think was that Jon did let his family down, and he'll probably let New Jersey down, too," Ms. Corzine said

Cindy Adams in yesterday's New York Post devoted her entire column to an interview with Corizine's ex-wife, who said things that were way more devastating about her ex-husband than in this piece. She basically described him as cold and heartless and ruthless.

I guess he sees his purpose in life as telling other people what to do and think. Being governor is next step to being President and the next step is ? You can take the boy out of bourgeois but not the bourgeois out of the boy.

Yes it is in today's NYT in a story headlined "Corzine's Mix: Bold Ambitions But Rough Edges"

She basically described him as cold and heartless and ruthless.

They didn't make him the head of Goldman Sachs and give him billions of dollars for being a warm, fuzzy teddy bear.

I don't know them but I tend to agree with her assessment of him based on his public life and the debts he most likely sank to in order to amass such a fortune.

This Corzine sounds like a real anus with teeth. I know from first-hand accounts that when he abandoned his wife, his friends in a very well-to-do (and predominantly Democratic) neighborhood in New Jersey were so disgusted that they basically disowned him.

BWAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAHHA
i still think Corzine will win because NJ voters are apparently brain dead but i do hope Forrester wins. If Forrester, Kilgore and Bloomberg win (sad thing is the only sure bet seems to be Bloomberg) then 05 will be a GOP sweep and the MSM will have to shut the heck up. If Kilgore loses the MSM will have a field day with it.

For what it's worth, there was a Mayoral race in Frederick, MD yesterday. The incumbent Democrat woman was very unpopular and was defeated in the primary by a wellknown previous Democrat Mayor who was expected to win the General Election easily. The Republican candidate, an engineer, was not well known and had not run before. This morning Frederick woke up with a Republican Mayor and a lot of people are scratching their heads.
