I supported the President's pick of Miers and I now support his pick of Alito. Miers supporters just wanted to see an up or down vote. I don't see anybody doing anything "wrong" here. We still don't know if the DemocRATS will attempt a filibuster or not. Let's not count our Alito votes until they happen.
Many if not most of the Miers folks said that W had to pick Harriet because an Alito or Luttig would be filibustered and the Pubbies in the Gang would not be willing to go nuclear. If you took that position, would you be willing to say that was wrong.
