Sen. Biden stumps in Kentucky (Biden:"I'm going to shove my rosary beads down their throats")

"If I'm the nominee, Republicans will be sorry," said Biden, a Roman Catholic who ran for president in 1988. "The next Republican that tells me I'm not religious I'm going to shove my rosary beads down their throat."

Biden said that in most cases, Democrats have themselves to blame for losing in so-called red states such as Kentucky and Ohio.

"We have put up too many candidates who can't connect with middle-class Americans," he said. "In the last two (presidential elections), the Democratic Party has lost its base, the middle-class votes. ... And we have played into the hands of the Republicans. We've allowed so-called social issues to be so divisive."

State Sen. Julian Carroll, a Frankfort Democrat and former governor, agreed. He said the party has to seek out the voters it is losing to Republican candidates.

"If we define who we are, the middle class will vote Democratic again," Carroll said.

"The next Republican that tells me I'm not religious I'm going to shove my rosary beads down their throat."

ROFLMAO!

Joe, we know you worship at the alter of the almighty government, so no one doubts that you are "religious."

We just say you don't act like a Christian, you liberal hump.

(Hypocrisy intentional)

Of course you're religious,Joe...just like the attendees at your typical Unitarian/Universalist or Reform Jewish service are.

Here's a hint for ya,Joe....if you're pro abortion and pro homosexual marriage,then you're an Episcopalian,not a Catholic.

"And we have played into the hands of the Republicans. We've allowed so-called social issues to be so divisive."

That's a howling lie. They lost because they insulted, and routinely abused and humiliated middle America and voters who are not 'cool' enough to be atheists. Myself, I am NOT a bible thumper but I am sure that a little of their Liberal gratuitous insolence went a long way with American voters. It wasn't only about faith, it was about national security and patriotism. The Liberals tried as they always do to make 'patriotism' a dirty word with Americans and found that this country was filled to gorging with that BS after Viet Nam and was NOT having any more of it. This guy needs to take his head out of his a&% and admit what really happened.

Joe Biden is one 'Sorrowful Mystery'. I think I'll use my rosary beads to pray for his hairdo. This statement is almost as bad as Kennedy & Son declaring themselves devout Catholics.

We have to turn (Kentucky) back into a blue state," Biden said. "We've got to be competitive in Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Colorado, Florida. ...

"If we define who we are, the middle class will vote Democratic again," - Julian Carroll (D)

Here's how Democrats like Julian Carroll are defined:

BACKGROUND ON JULIAN CARROLL

AT ISSUE: Julian Carroll is running around the state bragging about how ethical his administration was, criticizing other’s ethics and recruiting candidates to run against some of Kentucky’s most honest and proven republicans. Below are some writing topics and highlights of Julian’s catastrophic ethical failures which highlight the fact he is a liar.

Democrats should read the old teaching not to mix with the wrong crowd. Traveling and mixing with Julian shows their own ethics are severely lacking.

Julian ran one of the most corrupt administrations in America.

o 1975:

§ A western KY couple who owned a golf car distributorship received a state contract 11 days after contributing $5000 to Governor Carroll’s election.

§ From July 1974 to July 1975, Governor Carroll increased state employment by 10.5 percent or 2,598 employees. According to critics, this was an attempt to influence the pending election.

o 1976:

§ Governor Carroll’s brother-in-law received an “open-ended” job with the state tax-payer funded bicentennial group.

o 1977:

§ Governor Carroll’s brother-in-law purchased a Frankfort liquor license from one of Governor Carroll’s political supporters for $350 when the going rate was between $7500 and $10,000.

§ According to state Auditor George Atkins, Governor Carroll tried to secure a building contract for a supporter 5 months before the advertisement.

§ Governor Carroll was warned by South Central Bell Telephone that his taping of conversation between an unknown person and Rep Tim Lee Carter was illegal

o 1978:

§ According to state Auditor George Atkins, Governor Carroll illegally used the state air fleet for personal use costing tax-payers “tens of thousands of dollars.”

§ Grand jurors indicted a Carroll administration official for improperly transferring state cars to relatives of the State Democrat Chairman

§ Governor Carroll used state planes to attend out of state athletic events costing the University of Kentucky $14,040.

§ Governor Carroll used a state plane to vacation in Florida and the Bahamas at a cost of $10,000

· Governor Carroll’s lawyer used a state plane to deliver documents to the Governor while vacationing costing taxpayers $1,680.

o 1979:

§ United States Dept. of Justice approves a special grand-jury to investigate wrong-doing in Kentucky State Government

§ FBI begins probe into allegations Governor Carroll told a contributor his business future depended upon him making a $2500 contribution to the gubernatorial campaign.

§ Grand Jury begins probe into Governor Carroll’s children receiving payments from an Illinois firm owned by a Lexington Businessman.

· Governor Carroll’s financial disclosure did not list any investments these payments could be tied to.

· In 1982, one of Governor Carroll’s ex-aides testified that Governor Carroll requested she allow $500 checks for his children from the Illinois firm to be mailed to her home.

o 1982:

§ US Prosecuter John Fitzgibbons confirms Governor Carroll subject of investigation into Kentucky State Government wrong-doing.

o 1986:

§ Governor Carroll admits for the first time improprieties benfited he and his family

· The Governor was referring to payments to his children from an Illinois firm, a “zero” interest inventment in an Oklahoma oil well and his son’s employment with an engineering firm that did millions of dollars of business with the State.

The righteous heretic bit -- Tim Kaine is playing the part in Virginia, we'll see if it works.

U.S. Sen. Jim Bunning, a Republican who is a Campbell County resident, criticized Democrats for bringing Biden to the area. "Bringing in ultraliberal Joe Biden proves how desperate and out of touch the Democrat Party of Kentucky is with the values of real Kentuckians," he said in a statement provided by the Republican Party of Kentucky.

Truth trumps spin. Well said, Sen. Jim Bunning.
