And what do most of them have to do with "Freedom"?

I'm really surprised Ali and Robinson hadn't won it before.

Cassius Clay???? Why should a filthy, cowardly punk like him get it? Who's responsible for his name being on the list? Joe Wilson????
To: clee1
Interesting that its supposed to be for contributions to our "national security" and at the head of the list is one Muhammad Ali, who refused induction into the armed services of this country, even to provide exhibition boxing matches.

That's my point.
The PMoF has become a feel-good award; it really means nothing.

Wow, all you have to do to get this honor is be a trash-talking, draft-dodging racist like Cassius Clay. Whouda thunk it? When does Hanoi Jane get hers?

Alot of Democrats there...but at least they're being recognized for something. Clinton's picks were best known for filling a quota of some type or for donations to the Dimwit Party. No-talent @ss clowns who write bad poetry about gay cowboys eating pudding under trees in Kyoto, etc.

And the list was approved by that noted "conservative", George W. Bush. Just like his father giving his own personal "service to America" medal to Teddy Kennedy last year while the guy was trashing his son on a daily basis.

Meanwhile, Rick Rescorla , who saved more than 2,700 lives on 9-11, continues to be ignored by this White House.
