The State Office for the Aging (SOFA) employs a representative in each county of New York State to work on behalf of nursing home residents to prevent problems and help solve them when they arise. The representative, or ombudsman, that works with this nursing home is listed below. The SOFA can be reached at 1-800-342-9871.

Any good talkers might want to consider calling a talk show in the Glens Falls area. Ed Martin in a pro-life talk show host (wgy.com) and you can call his show from 10:00 a.m. until 1 p.m. to talk about June Maxam's dad, and ask listeners to call the nursing home.

Perfect example of how ALL common sense and decency has left the building in some people's biological high-rise.
Hard to make room for such things though when the the images of dollar signs take up soooooo much space......
I agree money probably behind this but is it just a 1st step? Next will they say she doesn't want to live? Then, will they go after the unborn babies? Other disabled adults? This needs to be throw out of court and stopped right here but unfortuately some doctors insurance companty will probably settle.
Please pray. My Sunday school teacher's mil was a an accident yesterday and has bleeding on the brain. She's in her 80's , they're going to do surgery tomorrow to stop the bleeding unless her condition warrants it today. Already my friend is facing the battle that the mil's insurance does not want to pay for rehab.
