WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Without warning last Tuesday, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D.-Nev., invoked a little-used provision of Article I, Section 5 of our Constitution to force "the world's greatest deliberative body" into an unusual closed session. For a moment I thought he was doing a commercial for my new bestselling novel, "The Assassins" -- which has a similar scene in chapter 5.

"How the administration manufactured and manipulated intelligence in order to sell the war in Iraq and attempted to destroy those who dared to challenge its actions."
------
It is amazing how venomous and vile the liberals are, purely for political purposes. Now, what will the Repubs do to throw this back into the face of the filthy libs??

This was, without a doubt, a desperate stunt, but I'm not sure I agree that this is a "little known" action ...

FYI ~

I think the repubs are already doing it.

Pat Roberts (head of the intel committee) said he was going to publish all the statements made by the left about WMD - and he commented that the left's statements about the WMD in Iraq over the years were more compelling than anything the Bush admin has said about it - and the left was saying it long before Bush took office [paraphrase].

I remember when he said it - Rush was whooping it up. On Rush's website - a list of the left and their statements. Also, you can go to the RNC.com website and see their list.

You are correct - but we're talking about two different things.

I heard Pat talking about the committee hearings they had been having - and how he presented a list of statements (leaving off the author) to the committee - and yes, they were upset because they didn't know who said the statements. Which should prove to anybody with a brain that the dems were only looking for REPUBLICAN statements which they wanted to pick apart.

However, what I'm talking about was AFTER THE REID TANTRUM! I saw Pat on FOX and he said that he had statements by democrats when Clinton was in office which were more compelling than anything Bush or his admin had ever said. He told Brit he planned to put out those statements for the public. That is not what the dems wanted, but they're the ones who said it and now THEY HAVE TO BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR WHAT THEY SAID.

Because of that .. Rush put some of the list up on his website. Of course, we on FR have been talking about those statements for years; but we don't expect the MSM to pick up on it.
