Well, I just heard Vallely on Sean Hannity's radio show and he didn't sound anything but confident and was NOT subdued.

Yep, Vallely's great. I posted a thread giving a heads up on his interview on Hannity today.

It was John Batchelor I thought sounded a little subdued, Friday night -- possibly after receiving a letter threatening a lawsuit? (I don't know, am just guessing.)

In any case, Joe Farah from WND and Paul Vallely are scheduled to go on the John Batchelor show TONIGHT (Monday, Nov 7) to discuss Wilson's threat.

It shouldn't be too hard for someone with subpoena power to determine if these guys were ever scheduled to appear on a network such that they would wind up in the same green room.

Vallely said today that Fox News archives show that Vallely and Wilson would likely have been in the green room at the same time at least three times in 2002.

. ..well green room notwithstanding. . .questions re the conversation would probably be no more than. . .I cannot remember that. . .it is Wilson against whom charges should be leveled. . .he should be supoened and questioned if not challenged by a 'lie detector'. . .

Outrageous that a publicity addicted, political operative. . .posing as a public servant, can get away with a story designed to pull down a presidency. . .

That is not just serious business it is 'Treason'. . .

I am not concerned with what Valelly says they show. That is not corroborating evidence. What they actually show could be.

Thanks for the thread link! :-)

I'm planning of tryimng to hear the Batchelor show later, but my radio kicks out, once the sun sets. Right now, ABC sounds like it's broadcasting under water and I have a BOISE. But I'll drag out another radio, to see if it comes in any better.

Did you hear Vallely on the Batchelor program again tonight (November 7) for the first half hour?

Joseph Wilson's lawyer has asked for a retraction.

The normally ebullient Batchelor seemed oddly subdued on his Friday night show...

Well, based on the snippet I just heard on streaming audio, he's pissed now. (I missed the fist 25 minutes).

Yes. Even better was the second half hour with Jed Babbin. Did you hear that? If not, see below for summary.

Well, based on the snippet I just heard on streaming audio, he's [Batchelor's] pissed now. (I missed the first 25 minutes).

Yep! Batchelor's on fire now.

And the big news last night was that Jed Babbin is saying some US senators may be turning the tables on the CIA.

I.e., we might be seeing prosecution of CIA officials for submitting a false criminal referral to the Justice Department (re the Plame "outing") in the future!

For anybody who missed the Batchelor show last night and wants to know what happened, I'm posting a quick summary below:

[My summary of John Batchelor show, night of Monday 11/07/05, with guests Paul Vallely, Thomas McInerney, Joe Farrah and Jed Babbin]

As promised, both retired generals Paul Vallely and Thomas McInerney went on air. Vallely repeated what he'd said to Sean Hannity earlier today; and McInerney vouched for Vallely's character.

Joseph Farah, also on air, vowed he would not retract one word of what he published on WND, despite the weirdly delivered threat of a lawsuit for slander from Wilson's lawyer.

McInerney also discussed Victoria Toensing's theory that this whole Plamegate thing was an attempt by the CIA to smear the Bush administration.

So the big question, as Batchelor put it, is WHO in the CIA set the dogs on the Bush administration (besides Wilson/Plame)?

Later in the show, Jed Babbin came on to discuss that very topic. (Babbin is a former deputy undersecretary of defense in the first Bush administration, now writes for NRO and American Spectator).

Babbin first questioned WHO "tasked" Wilson, a "clown" who is "not even up to the standards of Maxwell Smart" to be sent to Niger. At this point, John Loftus --a friend of Wilson's-- jumped in with faux indignation at Babbin's characterization of Wilson as a "clown." Babbin refused to back down and reasserted that Wilson was a clown with a political agenda.

Babbin also said that certain US senators may demand to know...

(a) WHO in the CIA authorized sending that "unqualified amateur" and "clown," Joe Wilson, to Niger on a sensitive mission involving WMD? and

(b) WHO in the CIA, following Novak's alleged "outing" of Plame in print, authorized the classified criminal referral to the Justice Department, alleging the "outing" was a "crime" committed against the CIA?

Babbin believes that this referral (which triggered Fitzgerald's investigation) might have been a FALSE REFERRAL -- and that a false criminal referral from the CIA would be a crime in itself.

Right after speaking on the Batchelor show, Babbin posted this article on the American Spectator's website, in which he names some names:

The CIA Disinformation Campaign

also posted here on FR

A sidenote re Babbin's article: Babbin says

"Fox's Judge Andrew Napolitano had said on the air that a FNC colleague had told him of Plame's CIA employment; Vallely didn't recall being Napolitano's source."

So, possibly someone else at Fox News Channel (besides Vallely) heard Wilson "out" his own wife before July 2003.

Before giving much credence to "none of Plame's neighbors knew she worked at the CIA" - you might want an answer to the question:- how long have they lived at this house, where the FBI and investigators went around to survey neighbors, just 5 days before the end of the investigation period by the SP?

I've heard that they haven't lived there for very long.

Follow the money.

This house they are living in (now) is WAY above what 2 Gommint salaries "should" be able to afford. Where is HE getting his money from, anyway?

In the posh suburbs of DC, probably most of the Wilson's neighbors are just as big Bush-haters and limousine-lieberals as the Wilsons.

So if they'd known Plame was CIA, would they have admitted it to Fitzgerald's investigators? Probably not.

Joe Wilson has said he has "business interests" in West Africa. Hmmmmmm.

And, there's all that money he raked in off his book, profiting off his phony "leak" story.

Additionally, I believe he has a consulting job for the Saudis.

And on top of all that there is speculation, maybe not completely idle, that Wilson and Plame are agents of the French.
