Polish Government liquidates Gender Equality Office
04.11.2005
The new Polish government has shut down the office of the Government Commissioner for Gender Equality. A cabinet spokesman said the liquidation of the post did not mean that gender equality policies required by both the Polish Constitution and E.U. treaties would be neglected.
Left-wing politicians have expressed outrage at the decision, saying that Poland will have no instrument to implement gender equality policies. They have warned that Poland stands to lose E.U. funding for programmes aimed at promoting gender equality.
All the employees have been transfered to the Government Commissioner for Silly Walks.
American liberals are always going on about how we should be more like the Europeans. Well here's one European country the U.S. can emulate. ;-]
I'm moving to Poland. My wife has already informed me I'm going alone.
Look for an increase in the amount of Polish jokes you hear from liberals (ideology of tolerance) to offset the sensible things newly elected conservative Polish government is doing.
"They have warned that Poland stands to lose E.U. funding for programmes aimed at promoting gender equality."
Yea, that'll teach them. LOL!
We'll cut off partial funding for useless programs if you don't pony up your share of the costs.
Sad that something like... the office of the Government Commissioner for Gender Equality ever existed.
It's about time some politicians thumbed their noses at leftists (and Euro-Leftists are about as Communist as they come). The Left's policies have brought almost nothing but pain and suffering and to much of the world. Once in a while the broken clock is right, but it stays wrong so often.
Roman Giertych would be a great commisioner :-)
Great indeed, whatever it means :-))))
It would mean this institution character change from feminist lefty heaven to the feminist lefty hell. :)
