Polish Government liquidates Gender Equality Office

04.11.2005

The new Polish government has shut down the office of the Government Commissioner for Gender Equality. A cabinet spokesman said the liquidation of the post did not mean that gender equality policies required by both the Polish Constitution and E.U. treaties would be neglected.

Left-wing politicians have expressed outrage at the decision, saying that Poland will have no instrument to implement gender equality policies. They have warned that Poland stands to lose E.U. funding for programmes aimed at promoting gender equality.

Wow, there is hope for the world.

American liberals are always going on about how we should be more like the Europeans. Well here's one European country the U.S. can emulate. ;-]

Look for an increase in the amount of Polish jokes you hear from liberals (ideology of tolerance) to offset the sensible things newly elected conservative Polish government is doing.

"They have warned that Poland stands to lose E.U. funding for programmes aimed at promoting gender equality."

Yea, that'll teach them. LOL!

We'll cut off partial funding for useless programs if you don't pony up your share of the costs.

Can we recruit some Polish politicians into the republican party? We can kick out Specter and a few others from their offices to make room.

It's about time some politicians thumbed their noses at leftists (and Euro-Leftists are about as Communist as they come). The Left's policies have brought almost nothing but pain and suffering and to much of the world. Once in a while the broken clock is right, but it stays wrong so often.

Funny thing is, that this position was called Government Commissioner for Gender Equality.

She had her field plenipotentiaries in every province of Poland.

As you know - there are 16 provinces, so there were also 16 field plenipotentiaries of the Government Commissioner for Gender Equality.

Do you know how many of them were women?

Yes - 16.

"...so there were also 16 field plenipotentiaries of the Government Commissioner for Gender Equality."

Damn, I didn't know that.

Good that the whole mess is shut down, but there would be more fun If they kept It working for a few months more and appoint someone like Marek Jurek as a... Commissioner for Gender Equality.
