But Oakland doesn't have room within their salary cap for him.
Last night, Washington Redskins took advantage of a suspended Terrell Owens to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 17-10 at FedEx Field.
No, I don't think so. The Redskins couldn't have taken advantage of Owens, because he didn't play. What they did was take advantage of the suspension of Terrell Owens...
What, is TO going to be the head coach? Norv Turner can't coach his way out of a paper bag. He's always been considered this offensive "genius" in Dallas, when in reality he was able to design his offense around 3 HOFers in a no salary cap era.
Brian Billick took his offensive "genius" tag with him to a head coaching job in Baltimore, but without Randy Moss. Good thing he had Ray Lewis to run his defense.
No team is going to give TO the money he thinks he deserves, so he might as well retire, and become football's Dennis Rodman.
Owens has a super bowl ring from his rookie year, no? he's the greatest receiver playing today. If he didn't have a ring I'd say he engineered his way outta Philly and must have his next destination already lined up. People will hire this guy in a hearbeat.
I think the Eagles should be finished with HIM.
True, and on top of that they have no passing game.
As far as the fans are concerned this is true. As far as Jerry Jones is concerned...
Wrong. The Iggles' problem has always been their receivers and a QB who can't deliver when it counts.
Funny, that's just what I mentioned to a friend yesterday.
Moss and Owens are different.
Moss gets in trouble off the field, with drugs, etc. It doesn't really have much to do with football or the team, per se.
Owens' misbehavior is all in regards to the team and his teammates.
dumb, dumb, dumb...
now the Eagles will have to eat TO's contract and he will sign a minimal contract with another team.
"Mr. Jeeves" I would have agreed with you about the Raayders but after yesterday's poor performance, I doubt if even T.O. can turn that team around...I think we can put a fork in Oakland for the year.
RINNNNNNNNNNNG!
"T.O., line 2 is for you...Indianapolis Colts are on the line. They want to know your ring size? LOL"
I say he goes to Cleveland next year.
I agree someone will take him. But his money is toast. He will be lucky to play for league minimum of a player with his years played.
heh heh
"As far as the fans are concerned this is true. As far as Jerry Jones is concerned..."
Fair point.
On 2nd thought, I might reconsider. If the Packers signed Bad Moon Andre Rison back in their Super Bowl year, surely they can sign TO then...
Buffalo, that's where he needs to go.
Heh...yeah!
Big Al will take anybody and the bigger malcontent the better.
All I can say is I'm glad he pulled his latest stunt just before the Skins game.
Skins 17, Iggles 10---Thank you T. O.
Bad as the Niners may be, we don't miss TO here in San Francisco!!
