A Call to Action
Fox News GretaWire ^ | Greta van Susteren

Posted on 11/07/2005 5:50:20 PM PST by RippleFire

Ready for some Monday morning mischief? I am! You can help local Florida journalist Roger Moore of the Orlando Sentinel (search) and maybe his paper avoid legal problems from me and you can have a little fun getting him to apologize. I have been held in a false light by Moore and his paper and I need your collective help to get it fixed.

...

Moore excerpted a paragraph from the book referring to my father which I have no idea if it is true or not — my father has been dead for years. In excerpting the paragraph, Moore added his own editorial comment about me and my employer. The remark by Moore is gratuitous, mean-spirited and legally wrong — called "false light tort," for which you can recover damages from a jury. It holds me in a false light and a very unflattering one to put it gently. I would be remiss if I did not step up and make sure this is corrected.

...

"Johnson entertains by showing how the decades haven't altered the teams in this war for America's political soul. McCarthy's best friend, the man who loaned him a copy of "Mein Kampf," was a fellow Wisconsin conservative, Urban Van Susteren. Progressives won't be surprised that Greta Van Susteren, a FOX News mainstay and Urban's daughter, grew up in a home with a cherished edition of Hitler's famous template for fascist political organization and bigoted scapegoating."

"Roger Moore can be reached at (407) 420-5369 or rmoore@orlandosentinel."

Since excerpting is required for Fox News, this may not be too clear without following the link, but "progressive" Roger Moore of the Orlando Sentinel has his panties in a knot because Greta van Susteren's father was Joe McCarthy's campaign manager in 1946 and consequently slimes her and Fox News. Greta is asking for help from her readers to encourage Mr. Moore to apologize before he gets sued. Mr. Moore seems like someone who could use an earful if you are so inclined.

I just sent him an email-suggesting he was employing McCarthyism to smear Van Sustern.

Greta, sue the pants off of Moore. "Apologies" cannot be demanded with any expectation of sincerity. An apology must be offered with abject humility.

In my vast personal library, I have old editions of Hitler's Mein Kampf and Marx's Das Kapital, as well as the forewarning Berlin Diary by Wm Shirer. Believe me, I am neither a nazi nor a communist. I have works by St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Augustine - I am not Catholic.

"Progressive" Roger Moore employs the infamous slanderous artifice of *McCarthyism* (an established "ill-liberal" mantra for communist apologism.) "Progressive" Moore alleges guilt by what he perceives as an association.

Revisionism triumphs when its inverted history vilifies Sen. McCarthy and victimizes treasonous communists who were too cowardly to admit their subversive political convictions. Both Nixon and McCarthy, members of the Congressional Committee on UnAmerican Activities, are vilified in posterity for exposing communists in the State Department and in other critical government agencies.
The Truth is, and was, that Communists who infiltrated government departments were treasonous enemies of the U.S.A. "Progressive" is a euphemism used by neoMarxists.

Screw Greta, the Scientologist wacko. I'd think having been associated with McCarthy would be a compliment...to a conservative. Damn she's ugly, too.

I'm sure Greta still has her Presidential knee-pads hanging in her den.

I wouldn't take any action to support this Clinton apologist.

I do not allow her face to appear on my TV for longer than it takes to change channels.

She and Jerry Rivers (Geraldo) might think everyone will forget their actions during the Clinton years, but I certainly won't be one of them.

Let her fight with her leftist comrades.
