One of the posts asked for a reliable program for copying DVDs, and I recommended DVD Shrink as a free solution.

Previous versions would decrypt copyrighted commercial disks, but the current ones don't, because of movie industry crackdowns.

The "shrink" portion of the title refers to the fact that it can reduce the size of a dual layer DVD, which most commercial movies are recorded on, so that it will fit onto a single layer recordable DVD-R or RW.

It also has the ability to omit portions of the DVD -- alternate languages or special features, for example -- from the copy.
