I'll donate if we do this. Let's include all the multinational forces and make it a joint gift to Iraq.

Do you what the rest of the media schedule will be? CNN and MSNBC are much cheaper than Fox News.

even NBC Nightly News (Saturday) had a story about how well things were
going in the Kurdish regions of Iraq about a year ago.

"DAMMIT! A WEEK BEFORETHE ELECTIONS WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER"

You don't think we wouldn't have wanted that?

The additional news coverage and buzz it would have generated would have been substantial.

If there was any way we could have done it, we would have.

"I think I'd like a 'job' like yours! Seems like a pretty good line of work."

Yep, I get to work on a lot of cool stuff! Very fortunate - lots of memories created I'll remember for a while. Got to work on the Recall Gray Davis campaign in California, work with Move America Forward and now work with the Iraqi Kurds as they try to build a bright future in Iraq. Very neat.

Why is Kurdistan "the other Iraq"?

It's the one that isn't a sh!thole. I totally understand why they don't want to be associated with the other two sections of the country.

For starters, it would further anger and alienate the Shiite and Sunni Arabs of Iraq, and imperil any hopes of building an effective national government.

What better way to teach those Dark Ages idiots that it's smart to co-operate than to reward the teacher's pet. I love Kurdistan. Screw the Turks-- make them their own country and call the Southern half Craphole-istan and let the Crapholistanis decide what idiotic future they want for themselves.

Here in this country, there are people who want to screw good things up for the good people who were responsible for them. We have the luxury in Iraq of these losers being segregated, which makes a divorce pretty tidy. I can't even conceive of the possibility that Kurdistan could end up as a craphole, too, because of the idiots on the other side of town. Liberating them from Iraq Proper would be a perfect way to keep them safe from that infection of stupidity and violence.

Wow! Thanks for the ping. Nice to know that the "other" Iraq appreciates us.

I am sure that these ads will be all over our news media; and the left will immediately apologise to the President.

Thanks for the ping. As another poster noted, it's about danged time.

I remember all too well the horror and shame hubby and I felt when America and the coalition abandoned the Kurds after GWI, leaving them to Saddam and his crazy sons.

If these ads represent the majority of Kurds, (and I hope it does) then their capacity to forgive is a major lesson to us all.
