Detroit mayor stages come-from-behind win in re-election 11/9/2005, 10:29 a.m. ET By DAVID RUNK The Associated Press

DETROIT (AP) — Voters gave Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick the second chance he asked for in a come-from-behind victory, although he said he recognized that his tough re-election bid sent many supporters fleeing.

The charismatic 35-year-old credited the support of those who remained loyal — religious leaders, campaign volunteers and family — as he gave thanks to God in an early morning speech Wednesday.

Detroit will be more dangerous than the worst parts of Iraq in a year.

Detroit seems to like being in such bad shape....I guess what pushed Kwame over the top was taking off the earrings.

Detroit is being systematically depopulated under the democrat party Stalinist regime. Vast areas of the city are reverting to wasteland and fields as the human population and business flees the corrupt democrat party.

Yesterday was a cluster-screw on every front, save Ohio....

I see there's a headline on the Detroit Free Press saying that 33% of Detroiters want to leave.

Are we allowed to even link to the Free Press? If so, here's the article:
Poll finds 33% of Detroiters want to leave

As I've said in the past, with Detroit's notorious voter fraud, it isn't important who excites the voters - it only matters who controls the vote cheating apparatus.....

According to FOX news there was quite a bit of hand counting going on.

I would have thought that all of the mayoral candidates would have waited until the last minute to turn in a few ballot boxes at 3:00 am, then head over to Denny's.

I guess that only the incumbent controlled the vote counting process, or else his opposition is too incompetent to steal an election. If you can't steal an election, how will he ever pillage a city budget?

Counting the votes. Just another benefit of being the mayor.

A lot of that is due to federal enviornmental laws. The way CERCLA stands, a new property owner stands to inherit the responsibility for cleaning up anything and everything found by any further examination of a site. Therefore, it makes more sense to just locate in a greenfield.

Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick

Is this the Black Irish I've been hearing about? Is Mayor Kilpatrick related to Donovan McNabb?

Last night, the local detroit tv stations said there was a "technical glitch" that prevented all the votes from being counted. The geniouses in Detroit decided to move the ballots to Detroit city hall to count them by hand. Considering the controversy with Jackie Curry's "ambassadors" and the feds looking into the extremely high absentee vote, it looks like the election could have been stolen. It doesn't matter, the sheeple of Detroit will take it all in stride. Kwame is already back to his old self, talking like he's from the ghetto again. I'd expect to see him start wearing the earring again soon. What a disgrace.
