After Roe v. Wade, things changed for a couple of decades and now it has sort of gone back to [a situation where] poor women cannot access abortion, while middle-class and upper-middle class women can, many pro-choicers would argue.

The crypto-eugenicists must be especially displeased.

Is Roe v. Wade as safe as a babe in her mother's womb?

It is a sad occasion. One thing that has bothered me, for a long while, is the denigation of adoption by the pro-choice crowd. It is kill your kid or keep him.

Here's hoping they do 49 more such specials. One per state.

gee, I was going to say this sounds like a Frontline hit piece, which is par for the course with that awful program. What do you know, it is Frontline.

Second guess would have been Independent Lens.

And it is such a pretty building. [sarcasm]

I suggest they rename this documentary:

"Little Ghosts of Mississippi"

With the right Bluesy/Gospel Soundtrack. Robert Johnson's "Me and the Devil"
and the Elmore James version of "The Sky is Cryin' " ought to be about right.

Poor Marie has gotten a bad rap from that 'cake' line. Cake was a name for the bread layer in an oven you used to bake fresher bread on top of. Guess you could actually eat the 'cake' if you had to. Your original point though is well taken. Abortion may be cheaper (financially) than raising a child, but it's still a money making enterprise for the providers.

PBS deserves all the heck it can get. Europe spends four times what the U.S. does on free T.V. and from what I understand peace, love and understanding isn't running rampant tonight in the streets of Paris.
And don't forget this recent fiasco, still hot on the griddle- Purveyors of Deciet:Why CBS must yank Breaking The Silence

Having worked in the medical industry for more than two decades, I can assure you that a woman with a private physician can get her unborn alive child killed in nearly any hospital if the physician will list the 'procedure' as a necessary surgery to save the woman's life.

My original point (post #29...deleted by the mod for unknown reasons) was that abortion clinics are no safer than a coat hanger and rubbing alcohol.
