They can be slow in responding, but they usually come through. McHenry's office is faster. I hate to admit it, but Mel Watt's folks will always call back.
I called Brad Miller's office also. They had no clue.
A quick web search on the strings "myrick" and "Cafta" will lead you to many comments pointing out that her lone NC vote for CAFTA will indeed lead to problems for her, in their opinion. You're entitled to yours, of course. My opinion is again, that she's doing damage control. Hope it works on a national level. Need all the help we can get.
But forgive me if I seem a little cynical about her motivation.
And I sincerely hope she has too. But politicians, even the Sainted Republican Version, are notable for being good actors. Some have even made the jump from one profession to the next (although Fred Thompson seems to be the only guy who went from politician to successful actor!).
