WMDs Found in Iraq Posted Nov 9, 2005

Contrary to ongoing reports by mainstream media outlets, WMDs have been found in Iraq, so reports New York Times best-selling author Richard Miniter in his new book, Disinformation.

Consider these shocking facts:

• Found: 1.77 metric tons of enriched uranium

• Found: 1,500 gallons of chemical weapons

• Found: Roadside bomb loaded with sarin gas

• Found: 1,000 radioactive materials--ideal for radioactive dirty bombs

• Found: 17 chemical warheads--some containing cyclosarin, a nerve agent five times more powerful than sarin

USA Today: 12/3/2003:, Canoe, news
On another issue, UNMOVIC said advanced testing and analysis had indicated that the strain of anthrax found on R400 bombs that Iraq declared that it unilaterally destroyed was the same strain that it had earlier declared to have weaponized.

Contrary to ongoing reports by mainstream media outlets.....

I can understand the MSM's reluctance to report such news, but how about the Pentagon and the WH?

Imagine Saddam giving enriched uranium to Al-Qeada and other terrorist scumbags for use in dirty bombs. Then imagine the tens of thousands that would die from sickness.

Now I ask the liberals, is the Iraq war still not worth it?

Saddam need to be taken out, the long argument over WMD's is irrelevant as far as I am concerned.

Syria, Iran, and North Korea are on my list too.

I've heard of these findings before, buried deep even on Foxnews.com. Never saw any of these in the liberal media.

This is not new, I'm glad SOMEONE wrote a book about it... Still don't understand the Bush administration's wussy attitude about the liberal press. Grow some George!

This White House must have the worst PR ever.

This White House spends far more effort making America's case to inconvincible savages than it does explaining its actions to decent, loyal Americans.

I think a lot of it has to do with the way the press treats them. Its like they gang up and treat everything with pessimism distain... i.e., GWB holds press conference on up to date stats in Iraq... Reporters shrug it off and ask if he is going to fire Rove because of the Plame issue or some such nonsense. It is way past time for the President to start going directly to the people.

I posted a theory long ago, after the WMD search started to look like it was going south... it goes like this:

Iraq was said to have something like 10,000 munition depots. So many that locating and clearing all of them would take years, even with massive manpower allocated to the task. Chem and Bio facilities can be quite small and can be hidden just about anywhere.

The last thing we would want would be for it to be common knowledge that there are various chem or bio weapons stashed around the place easy for the pickin'. It would become some kind of sick race against Al Queda to see who could find them first.

But spread the news, and take the PR hit, that there is nothing being found... and it buys time.

Just a thought. Maybe just wishful thinking, but it sure connects all the dots.
