If the future of our nation wasn't on the line, it wouldn't be such a big deal. But, it is. I love this President. But I hate what he's letting these lying bastards do to this country.

That's EXACTLY what I was just sitting here thinking. If the stakes weren't so high, I'd throw up my hands and go back to being oblivious to politics and say if the American people want to gobble up what the MSM feeds them, then they deserve what they'll get.

Problem is, if the democrats manage to regain power, we'll be looking at a replay of what France is going through right here...or much worse.

Thanks for the ping; added to my general Iraq file (as opposed to my Iraq/AQ file which is bookmarked under my links). The left just can't admit the truth.

It's so obvious, it's frightening.

That deal was sealed years ago. Bush got 8 because Hillary will get 8. After all, Kerry conceded when the dimwit sheeple thought he would fight like Gore tried. Its the oligarchy. That is why Bush is playing a PR wimp. Do you really think he can not handle these MSM dimwits, but can handle Saddam the Butcher ? My guess is to finish this off, it will require a draft. Thus Hillary. Will also help that any big time troop loss (WMD when we invade Syria) can be blamed on the first US women Pres. IMHO (note - I am a registered Libertarian so technically "I'm a Loser" and I don't have to play the Oligarchy's game).

I seem to recall Neal Boortz reporting that they had also found chemical warheads and the chemicals to make nerve gas, but since they weren't mixed, they "didn't count." Many modern nerve agents are binary weapons, where the components are kept seperate, as they're relatively harmless (far less toxic than the nerve agent itself) to handle, and it's not until the weapon is actually being used that the components are mixed, creating the nerve agent.

The white house has not once said, "WE FOUND WMD!" If they ever did, it would completely justify what we are doing there. Unfortunately, because he hasn't said it, EVERYONE thinks what we are doing is totally un-justified.

All of this has been reported at various times since the war began. I remember hearing about it on Rush's show, and other places. I don't know if the MSM ever picked any of it up because I never watch newtwork news or read the daily newspapers. Miniter has simply combined all of the reports in one handy reference book.

I agree!! 1.7 tons of enriched uranium isn't really a stockpile. Not fitting with liberal agenda.
When that amount was removed from Iraq by the US, IAEA filed a complaint because the paperwork was not done on the move. Could someone help me find the complaint?
Also, did anyone see the nutty ex-CIA agent say "Sadam Hussein was our best ally in the WOT?" on the Hardball last night?

Somehow the Whitehouse must be compromised. Otherwise they'd want to have this out.

Even though the bulk of Saddam's chemical & biological weapons were trucked into Syria prior to the Iraq war in very early 2003, those WMD components which have been uncovered by our troops & other Coalition troops, should be plastered all over the front page of newspapers - we know why this is not the case.

If you remember back in the beginning of the WOT the POTUS said that we would not know everything that went on and that there would be disinformation.

The Left has redefined Stockpiles and the MSM has made the WH gun shy in reporting successes.

Can someone work up a reasonable estimate of how many human beings these WMD materials could kill? It just doesn't register with most people to say "X gallons" of a substance, since most have no conception of how many lives would be snuffed out by Saddam and/or allied terrorists using such materials. I understand there are many variables to do with wind and weather, means of dissemination, etc. but still I think it would be useful for the public to be told just how many could have been killed with the WMDs that Saddam did have at the end, never mind all the materials and warheads that were removed to Syria......

Also, it's almost never discussed that Saddam was actively trying to retain a rapid production potential, so that he would be able to ramp up, e.g., chem weapon production from "dual-use" chemical plants, etc. How much could he have had within 12 months of the end of sanctions or any decision by Saddam to ramp up production? That is highly relevant because we would not have any adequate warning of such a re-emergence of major WMD production in Iraq, especially given the CIA's complete lack of HUMINT in the region.

Yes, that's been one of the worst aspects of mis-reporting and mis-understanding in this PR debacle. All chem components which COULD be mixed to make chem weapons should be counted. There were places where many 55 gallon drums of individual chemicals were found under military camouflage, in underground bunkers, but that did not 'count' because the weapons were not pre-mixed (which would greatly reduce their shelf lives, as I understand it). Saddam had some of the most well-protected and well-hidden "pesticides" in the history of humankind, from what I've read........ any chemicals which COULD be used in chem weapons, and especially those which were stored on military bases, obviously should be counted!!
