These flags are in honor of the soldiers who have died since the beginning of the war," he said. "I think it's important that people witness a visual representation of the number of lives lost."

I might believe that if they were 2,000 American Flags, rather than 2000 *white* flags.

As it is, they are lying through their teeth, and their act is treason, as defined in the Constitution, Art. III Section 3:

Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort

"their act is treason, as defined in the Constitution, Art. III Section 3:"

No it isn't, and stop trying to cheapen real treason by likening what these idiots are doing to the real thing. Real treason is blowing up Army bases and murdering American soldiers and government workers en masse. Real treason is leavying -WAR- against the United States; NOT putting insulting and degrading surrender flags in a park in Maine. I'm about sick and tired of people trying to stretch the treason clause in the US Constitution further than the Commerce Clause 'til it reaches the point that it was under Crown rule. The reason treason is the only crime defined in the US Constitution is because of the abuses of it under Crown rule suffered by the people who wrote the damn thing. Cheapening the meaning of treason as defined in our Constitution cheapens the death of every freedom-minded person punished and murdered by English royalty for centuries, and that's for damn sure a lot more disgusting than putting up flags in a park.

We may not like what these people are doing; most of us are plain angry about it. Turning back the clock to Crown rule or turning us into Communist China are NOT appropriate responses to that anger.
