How about Allen/Giuliani or Allen/Sanford.

Maybe unrealistic, in view of recent statements, but I think your list ought to include Jeb Bush in potentiam. We want State-level executives, i.e. Governors, and above all non-lawyers: Both Reagan and Bush II fit that profile, George Allen does not. The latter seems okay, but his inevitable legalistic orientation plus log-rolling legislative time will have hardened deeper by 2008. Neither augurs well for any Chief Executive, and it is difficult to see how Allen could escape the malign influence of just this background. On the other hand, consider his probable opponent... MzBill? Another bleating twerp in Gore or Kerry mode? Maybe we should just bag competence and go for a halfway decent figure not actively self-destructive. Ah, well. At least Jacques Chirac's not running.

fooey - the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Allen is a wuss. From what I read from military sources, nothing is done to any of these prisoners that the Military interrogators have not undergone themselves during their own training. So, how can this keep being called Torture, rather than Interrogation? McPain makes me sick for the most part. And now I have to keep looking for a mini-Messiah to run for Prez.

Hmmmm. I detect a hint of Reagan/W in that picture! And his smile is captivating.

Why did he want President Bush to meet with Cindy Sheehan?

Well said. And when Allen/Rice finish their 8 years, it will be Rice and whomever. I would love to see Condi as Prez. I'm very impressed with George Allen, he's confident, wellspoken and bright. He's much more of a conservative than Bush.

YESSSSSSSSS!

Don't forget...these polls are so far off. Few know Allen yet. It's way too soon to be worried about polls. Allen will be very much the frontrunner and very appealing over the rest as he is the only conservative GOPer who may be running. The rest are RINOS, at least of the ones we think will be running.

right now he's being trounced by McCain in the polls 37% McCain to 5% Allen

This is because everyone has at least heard of McPain, but almost no one has heard of Allen. If he has the "people skills" his boosters say, this kind of poll result will vanish. But it's up to the voters to let us know what his "people skills" actually are.

He does appear to be a much better speaker than GWB especially in a debate format. Saw him totally disarm Chrissy Mathews on more than one occasion.
