Senator Kennedy, driving drunk, crashes into a river with a woman passenger, Mary Jo Kopechne. Kennedy saves himself and leaves Ms. Kopechne to die. The accident was not reported until eight hours after the car had sunk to the bottom of the river (June, 1969)

Senator Kennedy's defense: "It's Camelot. Not Swamalot."
Beyond horrible. Way.
Red, there's more.
Kennedy then turns to a life of liberalism thinking that he can redeem himself and clear his conscious by being a big-daddy government type to people in need.
But it doesn't work. His liberalism only leads to creating more people in need.
Unable to face this failure, the icon politician then turns to alcohol binging and food gorging and even more liberalism.
All destined to fail the now fat, aging pol should admit once and for all to himself that he dunked that poor girl in the Oldsmobile, that he should stop torturing the good people of this country and that he should just go away.
True story. Taught a writing class this fall. Began my rants about Ted Kennedy as I do tend to talk about things political. Well hey, they might want to write about it! ;)
Only ONE student, out of seven, even knew about Chappaquidick. The rest were totally shocked.
Wind backward. Husband brother comes to visit. Born and grown in Massachusetts. Disgusted with Mass. Libs but that's another story.
Got to asking about Ted Kennedy. Got to asking why on earth the people of Mass. keep electing this man.
They had NO idea what I was talking about.
Well perhaps my brother in law had heard it, it seemed fuzzy how he reacted but he seemed to have a little clue. His wife never heard about it at all. Brother in law is about 39 years old, wife is a few years younger.
Whatever the amount of their knowledge, they little to none about it.
Time for conservatives across the land to start pointing this out. We've an entire generation know not a thing. The Moonbats have succeeded in changing history!
What Kennedy really needs to learn is that his seditious politics don't automatically stop at the water's edge any better than that infamous Oldsmobile.
Actually the car never completely sand beneath the very shallow water. There is some evidence to indicate that kennedy could have saved her life. But he apparently chose to let her die.
