The Democratic National Committee under Howard Dean is losing the fundraising race against Republicans by nearly 2 to 1, a slow start that is stirring concern among strategists who worry that a cash shortage could hinder the party's competitiveness in next year's midterm elections....Now, the latest financial numbers are prompting new doubts. From January through September, the Republican National Committee raised $81.5 million, with $34 million remaining in the bank. One House Democratic leadership aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to preserve relations with Dean's operation, put it more bluntly: "There is plenty of time, but the red flashing sirens should be going off there."

And they just spent an awful lot of pelf just to keep what they already have in CA, VA and NJ, while having their heads handed to them in OH.

BUTT, BUTT, BUTT, Chrissy Matthews says the Dems are poised to take back the House and Senate in 2006.
Here is a question I have for any of you lurking Liberals........ What is the message that the Democrats are advocating???
The only common thread the Democrats have is their hatred for a President who will not be on the ballot in 2008.
Their only message when it comes to dealing with those who want to harm us, is how they can grant them access to our Courts and protect them from having Panties placed on their heads.

Yes. Was just thinking that same thing. Guess the special elections in California served a good purpose after all.

They should try border control and fiscal control. the GOP is wide open on those two.
Instead they may go for thought-control and income-control.

I thought ... well, this is the result of that great effort by democrats to discredit President Bush.
Are those poll numbers telling the real story?

"They should try border control..."
They don't dare so long as they believe the Hispanic vote is still theirs (mum's the word: it soon won't be).
And nobody, but NOBODY thinks they're more fiscally rational than the GOP, either.

Don't hold your breath!
The RATS will advocate border control as soon as they advocate lower taxes

Their Catholicism and tradition of military service don't gyve with the current operations of the Dems. It won't be long before they start leaving in droves to the GOP.

How did the Hispanics vote for the special election? Any word on if they voted for the abortion notification proposition?

I'm in TX, myself, so I couldn't say.
Amendment #2 (man/woman marriage amendment) here passed 75-25, in spite of a big push (so to speak) from the pederasts, so the shift is already happening here.

"...the Democrats are good at racial demagoguery."
Is true; about the ONLY thing they're good at.
But check the numbers:
"Republicans gained a relatively modest 3 percentage points in the overall black vote between 2000 and 2004, going from 8 percent to 11 percent, the party's performance in several large states was more substantial. In Texas, the GOP won 15 percent; in California, 18 percent; and in Ohio, 16 percent."

Looks like you are right so far. I don't get it.
Also, it has never made sense to me that the black community is religious yet has the highest rate of illigitimate births. Not that the rest of the races are far behind them.

You can't blame this on Dean. They were at a 2-to-1 disadvantage before he showed up. It's like blaming the relief pitcher who inherits a five-run deficit.
