We do. Anyone messes with my car gets their head blown off by my Remington. Any questions?

"Sir (or Ma'am), no Sir (or Ma'am)!"

And that's the way its got to be. God bless the 2nd amendment. I had to wait 45 minutes for police at 2 - 3 am while an angry, drunk ex-boyfriend tried to tear down my door. This was years ago and it hasn't gotten any better since. The police can't be everywhere. First line of defense is one's self.....sir (or Ma'am)!

Sarkozy's star has risen appreciably. But I don't know the French system. I know the police (local and national) report to Sarkozy, but Sarkozy is hamstrung by Chirac. I don't know what must happen for a change in approach.

But there is no doubt that capitulation doesn't work. Socialism is dying a quick death in Europe. Soon this influence will hit our shores.

Islam is pushing the world to the right. Nothing wrong with that...until it keeps on going. It kicks aside Sarkozy...and next Le Pen is pushed away. This vacuum is hungrier than that. It wants greater anger...greater hatred. It wants the new Fuhrer.

Officers at the forefront of attempts to control the wave of riots and arson attacks across France are furious at moves to prosecute policemen accused of assaulting a youth.

As officers were deployed in force in Paris yesterday following a call on weblogs for a mass demonstration, the police union described the jailing of one officer and the suspension of others as "incomprehensible and unacceptable".

Islam is a Religion of Peace; the rioters (contrary to peacemakers, are just disgruntled "youth" (a/k/a Muslims) and it's their molotov cocktail throwing isn't their fault....the devil made them do it.

"Ja think that Inspector Clouseau will ever get this figured out?"

Well, Sarkozy seems to have it figured out. The theory goes on to say that this is why he has ordered all foreigners involved in the rioting to be expelled from France.

Police officers, who have been targeted with stones, missiles and Molotov cocktails since the trouble broke out, said they were "stupefied" by the action taken against their colleagues.

We should offer all of these officers and their families U.S. visas and positions with U.S. police departments.

If France burns........"cest la jihad".

"Would Chirac be so lame and self-centered as to hand France over, so to speak, to the radical protestors? What about French Foreign Minister? Just as lame as Chirac?"

I think all Chirac wants is a quiet life. De Villepin is a poet and novelist, full of grandiose speeches with no substance.

I don't know how much actual power Sarkozy has.

What France has now is paralysis. Maybe a new Napoleon will appear?

Not to discredit those that show ISlam for what it really is: a pigsty of bloodbaths and murderers, but WorldNetDaily (which comprises most of the links after clicking through) is the LAST place to get unbiased opinions. They are still eating their stored rice cakes from their failed Y2K DoomsDay predictions. Farah is the biggest NUT of all.

A society that makes war against its Police had better learn to make friends with its criminals.

Typical of today's so called 'leadership' they turn on their own. Just wait until it hits the fan here, our 'leadership' will turn on American's who attempt to defend themselves, their families and their property so fast it will make one's head swim. The present Western 'leadership' is sick!

The most heavily armed around here are the good guys. The cops and politicians both know it.

So about 25% are adults? I thought it was about the youth rioting because they don't have jobs (which they are probably too young to have anyway).

Old Chirac sat on his hands for days when this started, but the moment a mosque was attacked, he was quick to denounce and threaten those who attacked the mosque.

I suspect old Chirac, like Charles Windsor, may be a closet muzzie. Is anybody else of this opinion?

I just heard Fox News announce a poll in France that said 70% don't believe Chirac can handle the problem and that 70% think that Nicholas Sarkozy can.
