It is reported, that on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, the California legislature will vote to secede from the Union.

If only it were true...then I could lead a squad to lay siege on Sacramento and take the city by storm.

This would be interesting news. I told my wife after the failed vote in CA, that Schwarzenegger should hold a major press conference and state, "Citizens of California, you have spoken, and I have heard the message loud and clear. I will now approve any and all tax increases, spending increases, and environmental or business regulations put to me by the legislature. Let it never be said that I do not listen to the people!"

It's already getting your tax dollars as federal matching funds to educate and care for tons of illegal aliens.

I'd like for someone to introduce legislation in the US Congress to throw the state out. Let's keep the military bases, as we did in Cuba, but getting rid of Boxer, Feinstein, Waxman, et al would be worth 15% of GDP.
