Sales of sauerkraut in the United States have also soared as a result of the research,Do you suppose the reporter just made this part up? This is the first I've heard of the supposed curative powers of sauerkraut in combating bird flu; but the reporter is making it sound like it's common knowledge in the states and we are flocking to buy sauerkraut because of it.
