The program began last month after acting Gov. Richard J. Codey rejected a consultant's recommendation -- "New Jersey: We'll Win You Over" -- as too negative.

New Jersey: The beautiful toxic dump.
Actually I like New Jersey. It is quite pretty in the North-Western section.

West Virginia would probably give you a run for your money on that one.

Next to Philadelphia. New Jersey is a Paradise.
That isn't a slight. The first sentence is in case you can't find it on the map (and most college students can't -- not even those in Trenton).

I have been in NJ a number of times and I liked it...lots of private little gardens when I drove around and loved the outdoor sculptor garden http://www.groundsforsculpture.org/index.html in the old state fair grounds...also visited a wonderful museum by Washington's Crossing...I have a favorable impression of the state.

New Jersey: No Sales Tax on Clothing.
(Let's face it: that's the main reason New Yorkers go there.)

- Toxic waste dump of the nation.
- Birthplace of Monopoly.
- We produced a president, sort of, Woodrow Wilson.
- Toilet paper was invented next door, in PA.
- The most mosques between Michigan and New York.
- Home of New Yorkers who can't afford Connecticut.
- Home of Archie Bunker, Dingbat and Meathead.
- Our politicians may be crooked, but they ain't boring.
- We inspired Frank Sinatra to move to Las Vegas.
- What limburger is to cheeses, we are to states.

I'm not trying to say NJ politics is pure or anything, but these a-holes who come on these NJ threads mocking NJ corruption need to look past the drool running down their chins and check out their own back yards. My uncle worked for 20-plus years in Tennessee government and has assured me it's as corrupt as corrupt can be. I don't doubt it's like that most places. But we've had some embarassment lately and people like to make jokes about NJ, but it's just plain ignorance and nothing more.
