Thats what they told me in Basic training in 1960. quote " $78/month is good wages when we are giving you 3 hots and a cot".

Lets give Louisana many billions and argue over $116/day per diem. Makes sense to me.

It's not so much the money but the principle. This state had two major hurricanes hit in less than a month crippling the state economy. We are facing a billion dollar deficit just on lost tax revenues and a nearly 4 billion dollar FEMA bill.

These same legislatures will cut to the bone vital services before they will give up a penny of their perks. They haven't done much in the special session either. In a time of crisis leaders lead by example. These pols have the means to pay their own way and should under these very trying circumstances. The state is on the brink of bankruptcy and they don't give a rip. It's all about them.
