Frist has his "hammer ready to go."

[He should take it with him to the Senate floor and do some serious hammering there.]

I cannot agree that Frist did fine.

No, he didn't, and, imho, here is the problem. He seems to think that the "reporting" on a quarterly basis will result in getting the good news out to the American people of the progress in Iraq. That will not happen and if any version of this thing passes, it will be used to beat up on the Administration, which will have the effect of demoralization of the military, which is the real danger here. What is Warner's motivation...pure ego? The "I am a Senator and you are a mere President" attitude? Oh, and is anyone going to believe that Frist is out there actually building a house?

When hildebeast wins due to some Conservatives turning their back on America in her hour of need, you might just get to see kerry's "intractable tower of unwavering strength" as Senate leader!

When will Frist and his new buddies vote to cut-off funding?

The Senate is also scheduled to vote Tuesday on a compromise, announced Monday night, that would allow terror detainees some access to federal courts.

Does it sound like Linseed did not believe in his own impassioned speech?

First Lott, then Frist. Aren't there any real men in the Senate?

Answer should have been:

"Katie, we're going to destroy the terrorists ability and will to fight, and then come home."
"Katie, if we don't do that, we won't have any home to go to!?

That isn't exactly what Santorum said, although that might be how the media portrayed his comment. What he actually said was, "Certainly, mistakes were made. But that’s a criticism you can make of every conflict.” I believe he was acknowledging that mistakes can be made in every war, but he wasn't saying Iraq was a mistake.

He also went on to criticize the media's unbalanced reporting of the war, saying they only report the death toll.

Let's put it this way: do you think the White House welcomes Frist's proposal? I don't. I'm guessing they're annoyed by it, and find it to be some grandstanding, political pandering that is at least mildly critical of the Bush administration.

I wouldn't be to sure about how the White House feels about the Frist and Warner proposal. It seems very appropriate to me for the White House to allow the Republican Senate leadership to deal with the Senate Democrat surrender proposal especially since the President is out of the country.

The Democrat proposal is all about pandering to the anti-war, anti-american lunatics controlling the Democrat agenda. I wonder if America's newest Hawk, Hillary Clinton, will get her parties message today?

His first mistake was being on Couric's show.

From there everything else went south in a hury.

Frist and the entire Republican delegation needs to grow a set of balls.

One of the sad facts of life is that Janet Reno has bigger balls than the entire Republican delegation combined.

Whi is important that the Congressional Republicans have a set of balls? Because they are the only Party we have to fight the Democrats, in other words, they are all that prevent us from being ruled by degenerates and perverts a/k/a Democrats.

I am beginning to think that Republicans elected to the Congress within a few months of election become morons so they can 'fit in' with the DeMARXocrats, whose only desire is to be on TV, Radio or Newspapers.

I was thinking along similar lines. Who are the 'strong' Pubbies in either Chamber? Very few names even surface. Across the aisle, there are quite a few 'strong' personalities.

"That isn't exactly what Santorum said.."

I wasn't quoting Santorum. I was quoting a 'rat puke that was quoting Santorum. Every time a Republican opens his mouth and is even the least bit critical about the President the 'rats and their lapdog media friends distort it use it ad nauseum. Rick Santorum should either be supportive of the President and the war effort in public or keep his mouth shut. And next November 7th I'll be staying home. It will probably be raining anyway. I was one of those idiots that voted for Arlen Specter because I thought a Republican majority was important. I now see that the 'rats are still in control.

The amusing thing is that this Jimmy Carter wannabee is considering a run at the WH in '08.

Here's a possible campaign slogan he might want to consider: "I was ineffective as Senate Majority Leader, imagine what I'll do as your President!"

(barf!)
