I'm not wild about Thomas, but I believe he has a valid point. The confirmation hearing has nothing to do with selecting good justices. It is abusive and a sick display of political arrogance by the Democrats who have corrupted the process.

Thomas described his own overheated confirmation process as "a high-tech lynching of an uppity black who deigns to think for himself."
