What next? The story about RA at University of Wisconsin who could not hold a Bible study in his room or on campus because someone might feel uncomfortable coming to him for help. The spirit of anti-christ is getting stronger in this world. It only a matter of time before he appears on the scene.

Are we sure this isn't some Internet legend or some such nonsense?? Because that is EXACTLY what this had better be or I'll renounce any prior affiliation with the Air Force.

"Christian chaplains are being told NOT to pray in the name of Jesus!"
Told by who? Who? I want to know. Who thinks he has that much authority?
Whoever, tell him to go to the devil, in Jesus' name.
If this incrementalism is not stopped, radical islam will be the final increment, converting by the pistol.

Many people don't stop to consider that when a service member is overseas with/without their family, the only place where worship services in English are offered is at the installation chapel.
There are , of course, exceptions when there is a large American community adjacent to the installation, but for the most part when I was stationed overseas, the base chapel was the place for worship.
As a Christian...I would find it offensive if my Chaplain was restricted from praying in the name of the one that our faith is named after and follows.

Mark Belling in for Rush today brought up the resident assistant forbidden from discussing Bible passages in his dorm room--I immediately said were it a Muslim and they forbid him to pray there would be nuclear winter on the university.
The official jihad against Christianity by the leaders of the U.S.A. must be stopped.

"For many Christian chaplains, praying in the name of Jesus is a fundamental part of their beliefs." !!!
Crucial Requirement..
John 15:16 ... that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 16:23 ...Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give [it] you.
John 16:26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

This would be awful if it were true.....
Fortunately this article extrapolates information from a non-proselytizing policy at the Air force Academy.
This doesn't affect Services and sermons but does prevent all Chaplin's, regardless of faith, from proselytizing outside of the church outside of the church venue.

"... in Jesus name ... Amen is the ONLY way for a Chaplain to pray. THEY know better.
This is becoming ridiculous. It's like allowing a plane to fly into a war zone without ammo.

This is clearly a violation of the chaplain's First Amendment rights. I'd like to see some lawsuits here. We definitely need to get a grip on the "judges" in this country. Around their throats would be nice.

Any Christian Chaplain, Minister or Priest or person who would obey this law of man is in serious trouble. They need to defy this. This is too much. I would resign before following this. This is asking someone to deny their faith.

I heard about this a few weeks ago as a prayer request from someone who is a member of the Air Guard in Illinois. I see it is coming to pass. This is tragic. I can't imagine a real Christian Chaplain would either a) allow this, or b) stay in the organization that required him to renounce his faith in such a way.

If this sort of ban is on public invocations or prayers, then I can understand the USAF ban on this sort of prayer, since to some (hypersensitive) people, public invocations in the name of Jesus is ... Well, I'm not sure what the word is, but they don't like it.
On the other hand, if it's while performing prayer services, then this is a complete outrage, and something needs to be done about it!
