I agree. I would much rather they slug it our in private, than to air their dirty laundry in e mails made available to the public.

Shame on both of them for such childish behavior!!

No WONDER Kaine won big in NoVa. . . .

Uh, with all due respect, there's no chance in heck that ANY Republican statewide candidate will do well in NOVA. We have been completely overrun with Democrats, thanks to the Federal government's never-ending jobs program...

Hutch was on Allen 2000, but not campaign manager. Chris LaCivita was the manager that year. Jason Miller is Allen's '06 campaign manager. Allen also has Dick Wadhams on his Senate staff now in preparation for '06 and beyond. (Wadhams is the guy who managed Thune's race against Daschle.)

Fairfax County? I don't think so.

Prince William? Completely overrun by illegals. I wouldn't count on a conservative vote from there for much longer.

Loudoun? All of the LIBERALS who screwed up Fairfax County are building McMansions out there now, and then complaining because "Richmond" won't build them more roads (that THEY should have built in the first danged place). Conservatism is toast there as well. (And don't forget that Winchester is responsible for bringing us H. Russell Potts, Esq, that Grand Magnate of Taxation that he is [spit]).

It goes without saying that Arlington, Alexandria, Annandale, Springfield, and Fairfax are equally toast, with the exception of "pockets" of conservatism which keep electing Republicans to the House of Delegates.

Manassas is a blessing that I wish we had more of. I wonder how much longer it's gonna hold out.

The future is pretty bleak for this side of the Commonwealth. Deservedly so.

FWIW

1996 - Bob Dole carried Fairfax County
1997 - Jim Gilmore carried Fairfax County
1998 - John Warner carried Fairfax County, there was no Democrat challenger
2000 - George W. Bush carried Fairfax County, George Allen did not
2001 - Mark Warner carried Fairfax County, Jerry Kilgore carried Fairfax in the AG race
2004 - John Kerry carried Fairfax County
2005 - Tim Kaine carried Fairfax County

There is no question that Fairfax is trending more Democrat. What is most disturbing about last week's election is the ~margin~ by which Tim Kaine carried Fairfax.

Loudoun County trended Democrat this time for all three state races and Delegate Black lost.

The problem is not Fairfax: the REAL shocker is Prince William and Loudoun. . .they're not Blue yet. . .but they're distinctly purple. . . and if the trend continues, by 2008 we may well BE a Blue State. . .

Prince William is not even purple. We've got some of the most conservative delegates in the General Assembly (Marshall, Lingamfelter and Frederick) and they all won reelection. Kilgore lost some very heavy GOP precincts that our delegates carried handily.

We're pretty close to driving the last remaining Dem officeholders out in PWC, so don't worry, we've got your six and we'll stop 'em at the Occaquon!
