authoritarian males who consider themselves to be superior to others and have an overwhelming commitment to subjugate women. They believe they are right and that anyone who contradicts them is ignorant and possibly evil
They are often angry and sometimes resort to verbal or even physical abuse against those who interfere with the implementation of their agenda.Jimma's been spending too much time watching the Lifetime Channel.

Despite it all, I don't blame Georgia for Jimmy Carter.

Carter defines fundamentalists as authoritarian males who consider themselves to be superior to others and have an overwhelming commitment to subjugate women. They believe they are right and that anyone who contradicts them is ignorant and possibly evil
They are often angry and sometimes resort to verbal or even physical abuse against those who interfere with the implementation of their agenda. They tend to demagogue emotional issues and view efforts to resolve differences as signs of weakness. So our First Black President's a "fundamentalist", eh?

I am reminded of a poem by Belloc,
On a Puritan:
He served his god so faithfully and well
that now he sees him face to face in hell.
DO you think it fits here?

You may think America is compassionate and philanthropic, but we are, in fact, the stingiest of all industrialized nations. This simply is false. He can't possibly have taken into account the billions of dollars that Christian organizations pour into missions, both in-country and international. The man is nuts, simply nuts.

I must say, I am forever amazed at how unbelievably lame Ford was, not to be able to defeat this joke of a presidential candidate. Another week and he would have done it, despite having an apparent IQ in the low 90's.

The fact is that, unlike during other times of national threat or crisis, the United States of America is not at war.
Carter writes what most Democrats think.
