Apparently you missed the part where Woodward said that his source for Plame wasn't in the Bush Administration. He also said that it was an open rumor in the DC media long before Judith Miller talked to Libby.

At this point Woodward has given great doubt that Russert and other media testimony has any credibility in disputing Libby's account of what happened. Any prosecutor or judge with an ounce of sense would drop this case like a hot potato.

I believe you are mistaken unless something broke this evening. I read his statement yesterday and I read what his paper said in covering the story. I also read the NYT story and they all referenced three Bush administration figures. Woodward also said he first heard that Wilson's wife worked at the CIA on WMD in mid June 2003, just about a month before Novak's article. He said nothing about it being common knowledge. What is your source?
