Didn't Noel and Casey live in california for a while? Noel's sister is here from california and is a school teacher.
If these people had knowlegde of Casey possesing such material and stood idly by then they are just as guilty.

Article from the Charles City Press...bold is mine

A man living with slain 5-year-old Evelyn Miller when she disappeared was indicted Thursday on 13 additional federal child pornography charges.

“Late today, the grand jury handed down a superceding indictment with 12 additional charges against Casey Frederiksen for receipt of child pornography, which is alleged to have occurred in 2003, 2004 and 2005,” said Assistant U.S. Attorney Bob Teig said Tuesday evening.

Frederiksen, 26, was also indicted on a second count of possession of child pornography on Thursday. The first count, filed on Sept. 29, alleges Frederiksen possessed more than 1,000 “VIOLENT AND SADISTIC” video images of sexual abuse of children.

Frederiksen pleaded not guilty to the charge. He remains held in Linn County Jail without bond, awaiting a Jan. 3 trial date.

The 13 indictments come the day after several of Evelyn’s relatives were subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury in Cedar Rapids.

Evelyn’s stepmother Lindsey Christie, mother Evelyn Miller and two of Miller’s COUSINS from California testified on Wednesday, according to Evelyn’s grandfather, Richard Christie of Des Moines.

Frederiksen, Miller’s fiance, was asleep inside the couple’s apartment near Floyd when Evelyn disappeared on July 1. Her body was found in the Cedar River on July 6.

Authorities said the young girl was murdered, but have not released how or when she was killed. No arrests have been made.

Floyd County Attorney Marilyn Dettmer said the federal child pornography investigation is “separate but intertwined” with the state murder investigation.

An indictment is a written accusation delivered by a grand jury, which typically meet in secret.

Noel lived in California as a young girl. Casey never lived there. There was something incorrectly reported about them living there together at some point. From what I hear, Noel's sister likes to say she's a school teacher, but in reality, she is in school working on a teaching degree, but doesn't actually teach. Thank goodness, I don't think I'd want anyone in Noel's family teaching my kids. Both cousins who have been subpoenaed supposedly lived with them at some point. Perhaps they need to clear anyone who was living in the home at the time?

I think this whole saga is very interesting. We'll have to see what happens when actual details (as opposed to generic indictments with no details) come out publicly.

I wonder what, if anything, this has to do with Evelyn's death. I also wonder if Randy Patrie was ever subpoenaed and the press never picked up on that.
