In a way, this is a repeat of 2002. The Democrats tried to force the vote on Iraq until after the November elections so they didn't have to be on record before the people voted. Republicans forced the vote prior to the election, which is part of the cry today about being misled and intimidated. Now they just want to complain about Iraq without actually having to vote on something.

Really? Where are you seeing/reading this????

C-SPAN is showing a "debate on whether to bring the resolution" right now. This is the prequel. Worth watching as of right now - turn the channel to C-SPAN!

MY MAN! I voted for this guy once (I think, just before I left AZ) and have sent him money on a regular basis. He and Shadegg are great conservatives (is Shadegg still there?).

I had hoped J.D. would run against McLame for the GOP Senate nomination. But I guess that's just too tough.

I decided to check out the DUmmies. What was interesting is how slow they were to understand its significance. There were 100 posts here, before there were 10 there. And the posts they made showed they did not really get it.

Contrasted with that was how fast the people here understood the political calculation. Now, they are going crazy over there because it has been explained to them. A moment ago, there were about 400 posts there, to 300 here.

I also am ENJOYING watching CSPAN.

Another thing, none of the news channels picked up on it right away (not sure they have yet.)

BOR gets no credit on this. Hugh Hewitt said it yesterday and there have been people on FR saying these things as well. There is no reason to care who proposed it at this point. It's just fun to watch the Democrat melt-down.

For all, C-SPAN is showing the Democrats comig unglued over having their bluff called.

NO IT IS NOT BRILLIANT! How would you like to be a soldier in Iraq right now? How would you like to be a family member of a soldier right now? These a** clowns should stop screwing around with people who face death fighting in Iraq! Finish it and then go home!

The Dems "true colors" happens to be a white flag of surrender. How I wish that every time a Dem casts a vote to surrender, the Republicans would wave white flags...though it wouldn't be very decorous, I admit. And this vote MUST be framed as a vote to support our troops and honor those courageous and dedicated 2000+ who will have died in vain if we cut and run as the Dems vote to do.

Hearings about what?

Hearings give the Democrats weeks to demagogue. They'd drag Cindy Sheehan, disgruntled military, and old hippies up there to trash Bush and the GOP.

Now, with this vote, they have to go on the record after a couple of hours of debate.

This is a brilliant move. There's a clown on here from Massachusetts, (Jim McGovern) who is whining like a two-year old.

Now Markey gives us his Yankee wisdom.
