Thelma Drake - Just gave them a new cavity..... Dems not very happy. Now we get Charlie Rangel who voted against his own bill on the draft. Claims viscious attacks by others who havent served. Claims others are making dirty nasty remarks against his character. Now charley says we dont know our enemies flag, who will surrender etc. I swear this guy is nuts he is argueing against himself. If you love troops like Jack Murtha loves his troops - You should demand immediate withdrawal too.
It is brilliant from a political perspective to allow the cut-n-run Liberals to expose themselves for who they are, so the American public can vote accordingly next time around, and hopefully elect representatives who will be more supportive of the troops in the field. Yeah, short term it can be demoralizing, but long term there could be good payback for the troops.

Can anyone tell me why any person in the House would NOT want to have an open record UP OR DOWN vote wether to keep troops in Iraq today?
There will be several hours of debate before a vote so one of their arguments has just bee deleted!
For his part, Kerry has proposed a phased exit from Iraq, starting with the withdrawal of 20,000 troops after December elections in Iraq. A Kerry spokesman said "he has his own plan" when asked if Kerry agreed with immediate withdrawal.
