When the chips were down the Dems didn't date to actually vote against it, and then have the disaster be laid directly at their feet.
But I think I finally figured out why they are making these attacks and demands now: I think the tide has turned in Iraq and we are making real progress and they are afraid, that if we stay, Iraq will stabilize and everyone will see the President Bush was right, JUST IN TIME FOR THE 2006 ELECTIONS.
So they are trying to do everything to demoralize our troops, push President Bush into premature withdrawal, so that we would end up in a quagmire, then they can blame it all on President Bush, just before the 2006 elections.
I think that is a very poor platform to run on, but the Dems have nothing to offer.
Apparently, Zark isn't doing so well either, otherwise he wouldn't have sent a close confidant to blow himeself up.
"the Dems didn't date to actually vote against it"
I screwed up, obviously I meant they didn't dare vote FOR troops withdrawal.
