Because it is more important for some people to maintain access to an endless supply of underclass labor.

That, and about 15% of our imported oil comes from Mexico.

If you ask Sobran or Buchanan, it came when that tyrant Lincoln and his Black Republicans suppressed states' rights after the Appomattox Armistice....

"It's a very serious incident," Doyal said. "We are very fortunate ... no one got hurt. Everyone had the presence of mind not to cause an international incident, or start shooting."

I'm sorry, but when armed foreigners illegally cross the border and with the threat of deadly force steal criminal evidence from the custody of US border patrol agents, how on earth is it not ALREADY an international incident?

George P's mom was caught trying to smuggle $10,000 worth of designer clothes into the country? Nice. Of course she wasn't charged.

"This CFR document, called "Building a North American Community," asserts that George W. Bush,
Mexican President Vicente Fox, and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin "committed their governments"

to this goal when they met at Bush's ranch and at Waco, Texas on March 23, 2005."

Add another thing that Bush has in common with Clinton. Treason. The differences in Clinton and Bush
are slimming down to nothing.

Close the embassy in Mexico City. Shut down ALL border crossing immediately.

Scare the crap out of Vincente Fox.

Great ideas!

Sadly, our elected officials have no interest in putting Americans first.

Preserve, protect and defend my ass.

I think Ft Bliss is an Army Air Base.

Ft. Bliss is outside El Paso.

IMO, it's time for Gov. Perry to call in the NG.

Why doesn't he? Could he be under orders from the Bush dynasty?

"We need less Bushes, not more."

You will probably get that wish in any event.

The war and all the misinformation surrounding it will assure that no one, or damn few, will cross over from the Dims to vote for any future Bush candidate.
The border issues and spending will not go away during the present administration and will keep the conservative base away from any future Bush hopeful.
Jeb will stay put in Florida and any of his kids will have to content themselves with starring in cross-border corporations and a small chance at being ambassador.

Good article Resty; thanks for posting.

But the time is ripe for a constitutional counterrevolution. Discontent with the ruling system, as the 1992 Perot vote showed, is deep and widespread among several classes of people: Christians, conservatives, gun owners, taxpayers, and simple believers in honest government all have their reasons. The rulers lack legitimacy and don’t believe in their own power strongly enough to defend it.

The beauty of it is that the people don’t have to invent a new system of government in order to get rid of this one. They only have to restore the one described in the Constitution — the system our government already professes to be upholding. Taken seriously, the Constitution would pose a serious threat to our form of government.

And for just that reason, the ruling parties will be finished as soon as the American people rediscover and awaken their dormant Constitution.

I have said for some time that Bush is Clinton without the sexual immorality. That is being a little unfair but not by as much as one would think.

Don't you know the rules are different for the wealthy and politically connected ?

The Bushes are classier than the Clintons. There is no Bush death list of friends and associates suicides.

I used to think the conspiracy theorists were nuts;looks like they were closer to the truth yet most Americans could care less.

Well, I'm not in to the Bush family bashing. It could be President Gore or Kerry right now:') I'm behind GB in most decisions. I don't understand what he's up to regarding our borders though.
