***The intelligence was regarded as "high grade" and came from an Iraqi agent who had been nurtured by members of the British Secret Intelligence Service, also known as MI6, for several months. **
Should not have been published. Let them guess how the information got out. Now they are looking for the agent.

It sounds like the jihadists' constitutional rights were violated. Were they allowed to have an attorney with them? Did the soldiers have a search warrant? Did a civilian judge review all the information to be sure that they had the right jihadists? Couldn't the soldiers just have fired their guns into the air and scare off the jihadists? Did someone really have to get hurt? Isn't killing someone bad? We wouldn't have been there in the first place if it wasn't for that psychopath Bush.

Sad that we have to go to of all places England for this kind of good news.
Could you imagine the positive effect than an operation like this would have on public opinion here, if MSM nightlies were to broadcast these kind of successes.

I saw a photo online that showed the results of a sniper's bullet on a terrorist insurgent in Iraq. Those things literally turn a head inside out. Quite effective.

As they gingerly approached it became brutally apparent that the .338 calibre round - the biggest rifle bullet used by the Army - had done its job. Nothing brutal there, probably looked just like my yard, before I get the pooper-scooper out.

It is a bolt-action rather than a semi-automatic weapon. It has a magazine holding five rounds and is fitted with a telescopic sight. The gun fires a .338 lapua magnum bullet which can either be armour-piercing or incendiary, depending on the type of target. So did they select incendiary or armor-piercing for the head shots? Inquiring minds want to know. :)

Problem, and this is it. The soldiers, liaising earlier with their commanders, had considered the option of entering the house and killing the terrorists - but that plan was regarded as too dangerous. The confines of the house would intensify the impact of any blast, killing everyone inside.Just who in the h3!! cares how many are dead. This is war and if they are in a bomb making operation, "Say goodbye". Too much PC!
