A switcher is a device that allows the operator to select different video inputs, such as cameras and video tape and put them on the air. A video switcher can also mix video sources so you can have a video camera of the V.P. and superimpose A large black letter "X" over him from another video source.

Switcher glitches are, by defintion, a loss of data or a loss of synch resulting in random crap. What you see here is a graphics generator adding graphics to a video signal. Period, end of story.
