IDF paratrooper Corporal David Markovitch foiled a would-be attack when he killed four Hizbullah members carrying an anti-tank missile in the village of Ghahar near South Lebanon.
Markovitch, a trained sniper, aimed at the rocket, which exploded, killing three of the terrorists. He then shot the fourth, whose body was taken back across the lines by other Hizbullah members. The IDF was holding the other three bodies.
Markovitch, who was drafted eight months ago, was described by an Israel Radio interviewer as "not especially large or threatening, even with a helmet on his head," and was eager to praise his commander and cohorts when grilled for details.

Its hard to beat a tight aim and a smooth trigger pull.
4 with only 2 shots! Great shooting.
That would have probably made "America's Military Most Funniest Videos."
Slow exhale.... squeeeeeeeze.
Sweet.
Now that's gun control!
FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel/Russian Jewry ping list.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
Dude, that is awesome... did he hit the 1 inch pin or what?
You got to admire his prioritization of the threat.
I am certain that his goal was to first disable the rocket and then start shooting the terrorists.
Just goes to show you what can happen if you do things right. Sometimes things just all happen for the best.

"We were four [soldiers] working together, everyone did his job. We wanted to duck and hide, but our commander, Natan, gave the orders. We're a team," Markovitch said.
He told reporters that "It happened that [they] were in the middle of things, but really, it was a miracle. Them not seeing us - it was a miracle." Despite being trained combat soldiers, Markovitch admitted, they were afraid. "We didn't know what was going to happen," he said. "We were panicked, but we did our job."
"The terrorist- I saw him, and then
boom. It was a matter of seconds, the entire thing."
He's probably a skinny little Yeshiva bucher
Doooohhh! They hate when that happens
He then shot the fourth, whose body was taken back across the lines by other Hizbullah members.
Like ants dragging their dead
The IDF was holding the other three bodies.
Nevertheless, his aim was true!
We at FR should create a fund like the Nobel peace prize but it is more like the ...." Love that Sh*t you did prize" We nominate recipients(people in the story like this kid) based on posted stories and then vote each month, and award the prize. Part of the money raised is used to track down the people (logistics). Optimally it would be to have someone with a digital camera go to the person, read them a statement of our appreciation and video their thanks and comments and then run back and upload it to the site for all of us to enjoy.
That's darn fine shootin'.
He has completed his service.
