A non-starter, realistically speaking. The Pubbies need the Hispanic vote to win, and if that means selling out to illegals, so be it.

one potential candidate has no expectation of winningSadly, some FReepers never learn that chasing windmills is a pointless exercise.
I want the border shut down now and all illegals deported. That doesn't mean I'd support Tancredo in a lost cause candidacy.

He won't win, but he could ensure that McCain wins.
To: Icelander
He also said several months ago that he wasn't running.

The Pubbies need the Hispanic vote to win, and if that means selling out to illegals, so be it. Withhold your vote and have it counted as well. Vote Constitution party, it shows BOTH parties the votes they COULD have had.

Vote Constitution party, it shows BOTH parties the votes they COULD have had. While you're at it, send them a photo of yourself burning $ 1,000 in cash that they COULD have had as campaign contributions. That will teach them.

While the Colorado congressman's message might win votes as a hot-button issue in 2008 and 2012, Mr. McIntyre said, demographic trends suggested the position might prove electoral poison in 2016 and beyond as the American electorate becomes increasingly Hispanic, and if the Tancredo platform paints national Republicans as "anti-immigrant." Tom Tancredo is a true conservative who stands on principle regardless of the prevailing political fads. It's my perception that McIntyre is underestimating the growing swell of concern among Americans of all races including Hispanics, about illegal immigration.

The Pubbies need the Hispanic vote to winThe majority of whom support better border security.
The rest of whom will probably vote Dem anyway.

Hardly, more like "let's put this issue on the table"....and watch the other candidates scurry away like RATS.

Maybe he could send a picture of himself holding his breath until he turns blue.

An excercise in futility. That would be voting for whomever the RNC puts out.
