Exactly, That's why the RATS are calling for a pullout.... So they can claim the mission was a failure while ignoring all the progress.

This is what they are going to base their 2006 Elections on. "We called for a withdraw in order for the Iraqi's to step up and take control of their own security, Our plan worked and Bush's didn't"

The MSM will do all they can to give credit to Murtha and John Kerry for denouncing our Military as "The Enemy Over There" and that it was their plan that inspired the Iraqi's to assume the responsibility for their own security while ignoring all the training our Troops provided for them... JUST WATCH

You are right, but, just like the MURTHA campaign, it won`t work.
The Rats have ran, as fast as they could, into the "you gotta make the kooky base happy" trap. Of course the Media jump right into it to.
THere is now way they can now take credit for the War and Iraq, they will only keep digging.
One Rat hasn`t joined the kool-aid parade, Hillary
Sleep well

I think the public doesn't pay much attention to all the talk in Washington these days. There are so many accusations and counter-accusations going back and forth in both directions that it all cancels itself out and turns into background noise. The public judges the President and his administration based on the results they see in the world and the Prez gets the credit or blame whether he deserves it or not. The Rats can claim that this is their idea but that won't do them any good in the 2006 elections. Everybody knows this is Bush & Rumsfeld's plan and they will get the credit or blame depending on how well the plan works and the results people see in Iraq.

I don't know why, but I have an instinctive feeling this week that both the economy and Iraq are turning the corner for the better. Maybe it's just the holiday spirit, but it looks like the Iraqis are stepping up and at least uniting to fight Al Qaeda.
