A close mullah advisor to Iran's so-called supreme leader, mullah Ali Khamenei, mullah Jannati has condemned non-Muslims, saying they "cannot be called human beings but are animals who roam the earth and engage in corruption." Mullah Jannati made the controversial remarks on Sunday at a ceremony in north-eastern Iran to commemorate the 'martyrs' of the Revolutionary Guards and the (1980-1988) war against Iraq.
"If the Islamic Republic of Iran is still standing on its feet, we owe it to our martyrs. If it was not for our martyrs, we would not have these precious young men with vivid Islamist views," mullah was quoted a saying.
Mullah Jannati heads the powerful Guardian Council, a non-elected body made up of clerics and lawyers, which can veto legislation. As well as being a top aide to Khamenei, he is a mentor of Iran's hardline president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

People who think this way - dehumanizing your fellow man - do so as a means of establishing a psychological framework in which murder of the non-human "animals" can be justified.

Isn't it nice how animals can convert to humanity?

Likewise I'd like to think that Muslims cannot be called human beings, but unfortuantely they are and we're stuck with them.

And remember the mullah have control of the military and all weapons not the president of Iran. So the president is just a stooge for the radical Islamic leadership who have enslaved their people.

This is not 2 thousand years ago when fear and hatred of those who were different was the norm. Also, unlike then, there is Iran's zeal to acquire a nuclear capability that must be considered.

Absolutely correct, jb6.
After years of war, billions of dollars, and thousands of our dearly beloved dead and wounded, I am still astounded by the shock of the people of the West when someone, like the mullah Jannati, gives the basic Islamic doctrine, and so many people in the West are amazed by the barbarism and cruelty and deception of the so called 'religion' of Islam.

mullah Jannati has condemned non-Muslims, saying they "cannot be called human beings but are animals who roam the earth and engage in corruption." Well, it's only fair.
I and most people I know don't think muslims are humans either. Animals-on-two-legs is the closest we'll allow.
I also refuse to acknowlege the great historical muslim inventions and innovations: The muslim airplane, the muslim radio, the muslim TV, the muslim submarine, the muslim MRI machine, the muslim telescope, the muslim microscope, the muslim automobile, the muslim cannon, the muslim bicycle, the muslim moon landing, the muslim mars explorer, the muslim al-hubble telescope, the muslim clocks, the muslim telephone, the muslim microwave, the muslim refrigerator, the muslim preserve can, the muslim parachute, the muslim oil well platforms...
But most of all I rejoice daily for the greatest muslim invention ever...
Ironically, al-cohol!

Genesis 16:12Gen 16:12 is a description of Ishmael, it says nothing about the Arab people. Further, anyone familiar with ANE literature will recognize the rhetorical reference to the wild donkey, that is, one who obstinately refuses to cooperate with others. This is nothing at all like what the mullah has said.

It is a fairly standard practice in wartime to turn your enemies into subhumans; it supposedly permits you to do nearly anything to them with less toll emotionally. IIRC, psychology refers to this process as making the enemy population "the Other" as in "other than human." All the Allied and Axis powers did it during WWII and the practice continues to today, despite our supposed advances in education and interconnection with peoples around the world.
However, such statements work both ways. The Iranian Islamists are presently making the sauce the West will bake them in.

Gen 16:12 is a description of Ishmael, it says nothing about the Arab people. Ishmael's son Kedar sure was feisty.

But then, if you convert to Islam, you magically become a human being, right?

So what? I regard Muslims as clever, dangerous animals that should be dealt with just as we deal with a rabid dog in the neighborhood. Same goes for Communists.
Renounce Mohammed, terrorism, enslavement of women, and global jihad, and rejoin the human race, I say.
Look, these are creatures (I refuse to refer to them as people) who have stated in no uncertain terms that their goal is to either force conversions into their cult, have us submit to dhimmitude, or they will kill us all.
Call someone like that a brother? NEVER! I'd rather see this planet scorched to a blackened, radioactive cinder than have my descendants live in a world ruled by Islamic dogs.
Oh, and before anyone screams "racism!", know this: Islam is a totalitarian ideology masquerading as a religion - NOT an ethnicity. I regard Hindis, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, animists, pagans, et al, regardless of skin color, as fellow human beings and worthy of respect.
Islamists and Marxists - groups who think nothing of committing mass murder and genocide in the name of The Cause - deserve nothing but bullets.

Bake at 80,000 degrees for 10 seconds, with a dash of vaporized bomb casings.
Repeat as needed, until the dish is glowing pale blue on a bed of ruins.

"Gen 16:12 is a description of Ishmael, it says nothing about the Arab people."
The Arabs claim to be descendents of Ishmael, who they believe was the rightful recipient of the Covenant, not Isaac.
