I am saying that my cousin came out of the gate full speed as a flamer. Before puberty...when he was a little tyke, we could tell something was up..... the exaggerated feminine mannerisms ect....I believe my cousin was born homosexual, yes.

Lenny Carluzzi has an outstanding website that deals with homosexuality as a maladaptive behavior pattern. He teaches from the perspective of former practicing male homosexual who believes Jesus Christ was the solution to his problem.

I worked in in-patient psychiatric environment, which affored much exposure to all kinds of maladaptive behavior. On Day 1 of the job, homosexuality wasn't even on my radar. At some point, though, one cannot help but notice the patterns that run through human behavior. Homosexuals consistently came from similar backgrounds. With men, there was more variance in backgrounds than with women. Carluzzi deals with some of the male patterns in the essay linked above. Sexual abuse as a child was a huge predictor, from what I saw. With women, all the lesbians in the hospital (to the best of my memory) had been molested as children; not all the molested became lesbians, however.

I attend a church that has an unusually high percentage of men who have been practicing homosexuals. The men in this group either repent and work their way in to the graceful freedom of Jesus Christ, or they move on to other churches where homosexuality is not considered a sin. 90% of the men in this population were molested as children. Every single one of them came from a background devoid of healthy masculine influence.

The father's role in either a male or female's sexual development seems paramount: if it he doesn't affirm either son or daughter as appropriately masculine or feminine, the child is very like to have a gender identity disorder or same sex attraction problem.

I've always found it intersting that people respond to an honest question with a personal attack. Then use the response to thier personal attack to justify claims of bigotry.

Then again we are told to minister to these folks. Tell them once and let God grow the seed. If it doesn't grow, then the job is done.

My personal experience leans towards your view except I can think of a couple of instances where this family dynamic is not true - but that the person was molested while young - and then later turned to the the gay lifestyle.

Swedish pastor stands now before Sweden's Supreme Court on "hate crime" charges. The charges against the pastor, Ake Green, stem from a sermon he preached on the biblical view of homosexual behavior.

I remember when this happened. I pray that he is cleared of the "hate crime" charges. Jesus warned us that we would be dragged through courts for his name sake, and it's happening all over. As far as homosexuality being genetic, it's not. It's a sexual perversion, and It's a choice that people make. God said it IS A SIN, and that settles it. He didn't make any mistakes in creation. IF men were supposed to have sex with other men, God would have given them the proper equipment/tools/spot/whatever, for it. LOL

You are one of the best informed on these threads, as well as the subject.

You also are aware, as are many others here, that the whole subject has absolutely nothing to do with hate.

I adore my son, he is my heart. And over the years we have disagreed, and sometimes the answer just had to be no. I can assure bigsigh, NONE of those times ever involved hate. Sometimes "no" comes from love. Those times we know that whatever it is we are saying is wrong, is because it just has to be that way, for their own good, or the good of society.
