How many enemies were located in the area taking these photos?
His rates vary.
Either way, he charges more now.
You might find this funny, but after he "retired" (quit) under Clinton, he was charging and getting more money then former President George H.W. Bush.
Currently he is involved with some kind of investment with Steve Case whom he met through the AOL days.
Remember what he said in the run-up to the 2000 election?
f u powell
No. Enquiring minds want to know.
He was asked whether or not he would work in the Gore administration if Gore would have won. He said that he would not mind.
Powell is a squish, squish, squish!
Maybe Powell should run on the RAT ticket in 2008! Glad Bush got rid of him.
Thanks. I hadn't know that. It's in keeping with his character.
Amen. Powell is a dimwitted "nonpartisan" who has no concept of what the Left has done, and is doing, to this country. One of the key marks of the RINO is that he bashes conservative Republicans with more vigor than he ever uses against liberal Democrats. Screw this vastly overrated bureaucrat. Bush is well rid of Colin Powell, and should never have appointed him.
Concur. When Colin Powell falls off the fence he always seems to fall on the liberal side. The country doesn't need this.
You may be onto something. Hillary would pick him in a heartbeat. And the ticket might be unstoppable. The attraction for Powell would not be the vice presidency, but the illusion of participation in foreign-policy making again.
I can't believe this nitwit had the gall to play politics with our troops' lives and then lacked the testicular fortitude to vote his conscience.
He is the lowest of the low.
Message to Secy Powell: If the truth hurts cowards and those who seek to undermine troop morale, so be it.
I don't know, what should I say to this? I guess insert the standard Free Republic rebuke here__________________
Anytime anyonw who actually had a military career comes out with anything contrary to the current administration, the lap dogs attack full force. It always happens this way.
So like I said, insert the good freeper rebuke here _______
" ...If someone gave me his comments without a name, I would have said they came from Pelosi or Boxer. "
Or Cindy Sheehan.
You have to wonder if those defending Murtha have any idea of what he actually said or do they just get their news from MoveOn.NBC.
Meet The Press, Nov 20, 2005
REP. MURTHA: ...It's different because there's no progress at all.
REP. JOHN MURTHA :The U.S. cannot accomplish anything further in Iraq militarily.
REP. MURTHA: Tim, I'm absolutely convinced that we're making no progress at all,
REP. MURTHA: ...We've become the enemy.
REP. MURTHA: ..There's no question we're going in the wrong direction and we're not winning.
REP. MURTHA:.. Even the military operations, Tim, when we throw people out of their homes, cause us tremendous problems.
REP. MURTHA: ..We have increased terrorism in the Middle East, is what we've done.
The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer , Nov 17,2005
Murtha: Well, I say that the fight against Americans began with Abu Ghraib.
It began with the invasion of Iraq.
That's when terrorism started.
Murtha Speech, Nov 17, 2005
"....U.S. forces have become a catalyst for violence."
" All of Iraq must know that Iraq is free. Free from United States occupation."
During the election last election, the Iraqis weren't sure who would win. As such, they were reluctant to freely share information and cooperate with American soldiers. If Kerry had won, they knew we would cut and run. And if they had cooperated with Americans, when we left, they and their families would die. Just like in Vietnam.
However, when President Bush was re-elected, Iraqis began to freely give up information about the terrorists. They knew Bush would stay and that they would be safe if they gave up the terrorists.
We have a bad reputation in the world. Our friends don't trust us. They believe we are a paper tiger, just like Bin Laden said. We will quit fighting and go home, giving up our friends in the process. With President Bush, we have a chance to establish a new reputation as a people who can be trusted. It is disgusting that elected officials who actually served in the military would advocate pulling out of Iraq now.
Colin Powell should be ashamed.
except that Murtha pulled a Murtha years ago, as well.
It seems to be his standard m.o.
Why's that, I wonder?
