I have dial up, and have trouble downloading patches, updates. I have to take computer to shop every yr to have them do it on DSL.

Does anyone know if I can get around the dial up issue. No service available here but dialup.

High-speed satellite Internet access is ideal for businesses and people that can't subscribe to traditional high-speed Internet access methods. I have access to both cable and DSL, otherwise I would check prices of the different packages offered for a two-way satellite connection. Satellite Internet Access

Post here on FR and offer to pay the dollar for the cd and shipping and people will d/l if for you. I have sent out about 8 distros of Linux for people who wanted to try it but couldn't stomach the long d/l time.
